Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

@Potato Yes, it's great to see them looking well and healthy. There were 6 Mayambulas subadult males in the sightings, all accounted for, not 7. To be honest, at first, I thought it was 7 males, but realised there were 7 lionesses in Mayambulas Pride.

Myambula pride were 6 females (3 older and 3 sired by Mbiris), then they were joined up by another 3 unknown females (1 older and 2 subs) bringing pride's count to 9. In the past weeks tho only 7 are spotted so the dynamic within this pride are very chaotic and hard to keep up with. Maybe you\re right and the prevoius count of Myambula male as 7 strong was wrong, but perhaps this older unknown female stick with Myambula pride while sub females which were with her moved off and there are in fact 7 males and 3 females sired by Mbiri males in Myambula pride.

correct me if I'm wrong but there are 3 coalitions called lubyelubye?
1- Old Lubyelubye and his son
2- young lubyelubye sons of old jock males
3- these two brothers also called lubyelubye?
sometimes it's kind of confusing

1) Old Lubyelubye and his son- correct, they are pride males of H5 pride
2) young lubyelubye sons of old jock males- correct.
3) these two brothers also called lubyelubye?- They are Mazithi males, pride males of LybyeLybye Pride

Hope these clear the confusions.

Portrait of the last of the Eastern Bank males who partnered with the huge Southern Shishangeni male and for months now dominate the Jock and Windmill pride at the Jock concession, this guy is one of the sons of the legendary Toulon males.

It is so exciting following the progress and watching the next generation growing up, the 5 sub adult Ngotso young brothers during the past month. We first had a glimpse of some of them as tiny cubs from different litters in August 2019, so they are around 2 years and a few months old.

They have thrived under the protection of their massive fathers and with the abundant provision of their mothers' expert hunting skills. They will probably be pushed out on their own very soon and hopefully they stick together, grow stronger and make smart decisions as they form into a formidable future coalition. As sons of one of the Kruger National Park's most well liked and impressive coalitions they have had a privileged start in life.
