There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

209 kg south African lion ''Rajah'', see #1 lion tables. To give a perspective of how impressive is a 200-215 kg cat. A lion/tiger of that size is huge and impressive!

How reliable are these weights? Have they been properly weighed or could that just be a bit of keepers' estimates? I mean I've never heard of a a lioness that weighs 200+ kg, let alone a lioness that looks that fit .

Captive lionesses that big are exceptional outliers, but not unheard of. In this thesis on captive South African lions I posted a few months back, the biggest female was about 220kg.
