There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

How reliable are these weights? Have they been properly weighed or could that just be a bit of keepers' estimates? I mean I've never heard of a a lioness that weighs 200+ kg, let alone a lioness that looks that fit .

Weighed. Her father was 255 kg in his prime and looked fit.

Those females could be spayed as to avoid inbreeding as they live with their father in the same enclosure. Spaying could increase fat gain. However, She didn't looked overweight for her weight.

1. Arjun - 540 lbs / 245 kg

2. Sundaram - 550 lbs / 250 kg

3. Maha - 575 lbs / 261 kg

4. Ishta - 600 lbs / 272 kg

5. Don't know his name, but - 600 lbs / 272 kg

6. Kailash - 650 lbs / 295 kg
Kailash next to Sundaram -

7. Kumar - 675 lbs / 306 kg

8. Sri - 680 lbs / 309 kg
The biggest I'd estimate is 550-580 lbs. The 261 kg tiger looks like 420 lbs at best. There are no pure bengals other than from India and Nepal. 553 lb (weighed) amur for comparison.
