There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I was afraid of that. The white male is awfully young, but at least the breakaway group he's been hanging with has been feeding itself. If I'm not mistaken there's also a male that's younger than the white male with them as well. Problem is, the females that are with them are directly related. I do hope BYM will permanrntly join with this group as well, I think they could all use each other right now.

Their young age shouldn't be an issue provided they can find enough food to feed on. Nor there aren't any older male lions around to bully them out of a meal or just outright kill them.

The lionesses will hopefully rejoin the pride soon. It typically doesn't end well for them if they stick with with their brothers.

Well, it depends. If they move towards Orpen again they might run into Mbiri males.

I do hope things go well for them. They seem to be scattered all over the place, we had 3 of them on stream today, the white female and two tawny males. (Not sure what happened to the white male after he got chased this morning)
The guide also mentioned White Dot wasn't in good condition, and that she was struggling to keep up with the pride.

Last time BYM ran into the Mbiris, he was very fortunate that they were too focused on a fresh meal to be aware of his sole presence. Not long after he returned to the pride, under intense scrutiny by Tyson.

Not sure to be honest, I've heard the guides say both 12 and 14 years old and today they said she's 17 years old

She's definitely seen a lot happen in her years, for sure. Thank you for that response my friend!
