Guides chasing Black Rock boys away from Orikirikoi
Well.. I guess the question now is... what are the true damages to Orkirkoi? And did the guides just push these boys right into the Inselbergs? I mean.. where does it stop.. Now put fences up around the territories?
If they bump into them, then that will be exactly what they've done.

As much as I want Orikirioi to survive this is just ridiculous ( I cant find a better word for that)
At this rate put all males in different reserves
Nah, it seems the people operating in Masai Mara, currently, would rather permit the decimation the of lions, because it enrages lion fans, which appears to be their goal, that seems to be exactly their current mindset.

Lets just see if they dont make BrB trot their way into the Inselberg males, I really dont like to make these type of comments, but I really dont expect much comming from them at this point, Im sorry
I do not really know if what they have is doing anything good because even if Orkirikoi did manage to be treated he will be again for sure be attacked by the other coalitions surrounding him like the 3Kaskaz, 3BRB, Mdogo and Osidai, or even the 4Inselberg Males that have crossed the Mara River.
If they are saying that they are doing this for the well-being of lions, then why are they killing lions in the reserve and why are they hiding (Olobor deaths) it if a ranger or herdsmen kill lions if they are saying that its compassion for the injured Orkirikoi then where is the compassion when Orkirikoi partner is killed and many other lions killed in the reserve. It is inevitable that Orkirikoi will lose and become in this state again as he is a solo male lion and with this many pressure coming from all sides.
They might have also push the 3BRB to the Inselberg Males making it they save 1 lion, but they have put 3 lions in danger.

No apology needed, my friend. My comment may have been a little strong, but, unfortunately, this is exactly what we have seen taking place in the Mara recently, people who are supposed to be guides, literally interfering with nature, or permitting their guests to do it, which is just as bad. I will gladly take back my comments, when we see them behaving in a way that supports nature, the way they used to operate in the Mara, instead of interfering with it out of sheer arrogance.

Yes this might be true when you know that they name/calling 1 of the Sub Males in Rongai "Cheema"(not official name yet but its their suggestion), the name Cheema comes from a photographer that is and keeps defending the rangers or herdsmen and saying that Olobor was not killed by the rangers or herdsmen, it is just an insult to all lion enthusiast especially to Olobor who died from their hands and that photographer named Cheema is still defending the corrupt practices in the Masai Mara.
But I for sure will never gonna use that name for that 1 sub males in Rongai.
I just hate that they are only using the money they earned from lions/wildlife to fill their pockets and not protect the lions/wildlife that they are making money from, its just take and take from the wildlife and not give and take.

I didn’t know that, if true, I’m totally against that name too.

Your previous comment summarized what many people on this website ( including me) are feeling/thinking about these procedments
I completly get when a lions is injured or sick and maybe it would be beneficial for the population that the lion get better and survives like Lorklup
But not letting the animals interact with each other is probably too much
As I previously said, at this point put them each in a different reserve
wheres the compassion for prey animals for example? They too get killed, what if now Orkirikoi recovers and goes to kill one of the BrB, cheetahs, you name it? Is it fair? Probably not
I mean I would be ok if they just helped him after the BrB left him, that would be ok for me, but chasing the three boys out of their territory is just too much for me
"This preservation of favourable variations and the destruction of injurious variations, I call Natural Selection, or the Survival of the Fittest." - Charles Darwin
As I’ve already said before I’m completely against chasing off lions but it’s already happened now so two things could have transpired from them doing this to BRBs. Either they sent them further away from their territory which is the worst case scenario especially for Rongai Pride, or they sent them closer to their territory which could be the one good thing that comes from this.
Even if they were to be driven into the Inselberg males in their own territory, I still think it’s the best case scenario, atleast they get to fight for what’s theirs. It’s not like they’re a bunch of nomads who are hiding from other males, if they’ve got a new established coalition in their area, they’ll not only want to know about it, but chase them off too.
This situation has me really feeling for Orkirikoi, he was surrounded by 3 different coalitions, hugely outnumbering him, and then to top it off he was caught by one of them too. If he was to get caught a second time it’s prolly game over as he won’t be able to escape. Anyways, I hope all parties settle down and we can have some peace back in the Mara atleast for the next few days.

Here's another thing, however unlikely. What if in the end, Orkirikoi submitted and the BRB's accepted him as another partner? We'll never know because we tinkered with it. I am more concerned with driving them to the Inselberg's before they might be ready to deal with it.

Honestly I think that’s just one of those things that’s ‘too good to be true,’ I also thought of something similar today. Orkirikoi would have a hard time getting accepted even without new cubs in Rongai Pride, and with them he’s got no chance, although I would actually love to see it happen.
As LionLovers said too, everytime Orkirikoi (btw after how many times I’ve typed his name today I better never forget how to spell it) moved, one of the BRBs would move too. I do think they’d eventually let him get away, but it was very much on their terms.
Things seem a little strange in the Mara, expelling rivals so that the vets can act, it gives me the feeling that they are trying hard to appear concerned about the conservation of the species in contrast to the recent incidents that have brought a bad view. Recording this and posting it as a save only reinforces this idea

Chasing a male lion with a permant limp with vehicles at full speed, just because he and his brother acted like lions, doesnt give the reserve the best look
