This move by S.BDM was one of the strangest I've seen since not long after he left his brother was seen relatively well, like far from dying, just maneless as always.
You'd think his brother would be dead dead or at least at death's door to get abandoned so badly, seeing his brother move 50+ km north back to their natal area.

Thank you, for this, good to see him. I don't know what is to come of him, glad he is doing well. That cut on his face, my guess is he got that during a feeding scrum, with other lions, perhaps he was able to join a pride on a kill, the same way S Avoca and Skorro Jr did with the Manghenis.

I continue to share in both of those hopes with you, but, I believe his chances in joining back with his Southern brother, at this point, is the much safer bet. Then again, we are surprised on a daily basis, by the things these cats do, so we never know.

I would be very surprised if he rejoins his brother in SS. They've been in two separate areas (Sabi Sands & Thornybush) with a lot of land between them (Manyeleti) for a good while and they haven't been communicating with each other during that time. While I feel he's more likely to stay in the north, as you've said, these cats surprise us time and time again so I'm keen to see how this all plays out.

Agreed, my friend, I believe the two SBDMs may live their lives out not seeing each other again. My hopes are something different, but, as you mentioned the reality of the situation remains that out of a two member coalition, we may have two single males, until they can find new partners. I doubt, just as much if not even more, of his joining the 4 NBDMs. But, one can hope, I suppose.

If only he went down south to join with the other two. He is what his r.i.p brother could have became. He is what his other wussy brother could be but chose not to
