Pretty sure the Bboys don't give much of a crap about the Othawa Male. Nhenha chased the Styx and Nkuhuma into Singita which is the core of the Othawa territory and roared there without any concern for the Othawa Male. He is always mating with the Cubless Kambula and then leaves. In regards to the Kambula, I don't think they are looking for more males as much as it is indicated by people. Kambula #1 who was with Nhenha when Mohawk surprised them was with Nhenha on the Londolozi airstrip the next day so she didn't stay to mate with Mohawk. Yes, Kambula #2 mated with the N'waswitshaka but she is still mating with Tinyo on Mala Mala video so her pregnancy with the N'waswitshaka failed. Kambula #3 has 5 new cubs with the Bboys. Kambula #4 , it's unknown on what she is doing. Kambula #5 still has her 2 young cubs to raise to adulthood and Kambula #6 is infertile.

Yeah, OM has no chance because he don't have numbers (As far as I know theres 0 cases of 1 male takeover 2 full adult, healthy males) he is just roaring on the edge of their territory to attract females, not challenging Bboys (Londolozi also stated that, and they said when Bboys then show up he returns/runs back west) because he did that in the past few times and he got lucky.

Whole that thing of OM challenging Bboys is just a bit of few peoples (guides) narrative..OM is doing this exact thing for around a year now, maybe not that deep because BBoys moved a bit further.

Nhenha would not and never did run from OM (arguably more impressive lion in appearance then Mohawk) like he did vs Mohawk, because he knows that he is alone..unlike Mohawk, where he knows he has a brother, who might be near by..

From what I can find the second male hasn't been seen since December 2020. It's possible that he's with the fourways pride, if they still hold it.

He kind of has. Birminghams have numbers, but so far they did not used it as they should and there is still no response from them to both Othawa male and Northern Avocas aquering reaches of Birminghams territory. This situation remainds me of competition between KNP male Freddy and Solo/Cleo duo or Mabande vs 2 last Trilogy males where single males proved to be able to some extend compete with coalition, but of course Othawa male must be carefull to no get into open confrontation 2vs1 as he would stand no chances in such.

The Mhangene pride have been spending a lot of time close to Savanna following the large herd of buffalo. The young female cub is doing very well and we look forward to getting a view of the rest of the young cubs in the next few weeks.
