There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

????Attention People of the Porto Jofre Jaguar Tourism????
We have a NEW jaguar in the area and he is very very aggressive towards the boats! We must give him his space or someone is going to get hurt. He has already charged two boats since first spotted on August 2nd. This is the first record of this type of jaguar aggression towards boats. •

?His territory is Corixo Nigro and Arrumbada area
?Male-Name:Tusk

We just got word from one of our dearest tour guides @larissa_pantanal that our mascot and favorite jaguars Patricia, is with cubs! She’s one of the most successful jaguar mothers in the region. Since 2012 she’s had 3 litters so far all making it into adulthood. •

The mother usually prevent the presence of males after the birth of cubs, due to the risk of infanticide. Therefore, the life of cubs is in danger from their own father and other males in the jaguar population. Hence, jaguar cubs exhibit low survival rates.

Brutus
He's such a huge Jaguar and he's from the Southern Pantanal which is far less explored

I'm not sure how it compares to Northern Pantanal in terms of Caiman and Capyvara numbers but in the Southern Pantanal is where you usually find Giant Anteaters and Macaws.

A beautiful Jaguar sighting in Kaa iya National Park.
This rarely visted world wonder is one of the least explored ecosystems on earth. Sadly its being converted daily for soya and cattle ranches.

Join us as we get well off the gringo trail in search of big cats and more

Onçafari Association- Here in Brazil we have a common expression used by people, referring to the time when the jaguar comes down to take a sip of water. The expression is related to a tense situation or a decisive moment, but as you can see in the picture, there is nothing scary about a jaguar drinking water. Nusa, to be more specific.
