The longer Khanya & Nkuhuma wait to engage in a challenge, the stronger the bond, thus, increasing the probability of success in a battle.

Theres no way PCMs will allow new coalition to be pride males of Mhangenis, as new coalition would need to take/carve out portion of their territory, which will not happen.
This could work if PCMs expanded north, but looks like they abandon that idea.

Really think they stop pushing East/North is because of the Ndhzenga Males with their chasing of one another, there have been only 1 instance they are at North (specifically at Elephant Plains) after that back and forth chase.

Khanya and NK are gonna need to show some retaliation if they want that to stop, and we don’t even know if NK has mated, so right now there’s no reason he would want to.

Probably yes, as almost everytime PCMs where spotted going east/north, Ndhzenga males also show up in the area aswell.
Kambulas didnt stop them, and we didnt had any report/rumor of them encountering Mantimahles, who hanged further east.
Also, Othawas, Ximhungwe and Tsalala where available for mating, so that played a role aswell. Now Mhangenis are going back to estrus looks like.
If they didnt had any females for mating, i think they would push harder for NKs probably.

I don't see why it would be in their interest to pursue this coalition unless their intention was to totally abandon the subs.
Nkuhuma has never spared a subadult before and even killed 2 adult lionesses in a span of a month or so being territorial.
Manghenis should chill and wait until a strong enough coalition takes over Singita and themselves. If they can get the 3 female subs to adulthood they'd be in a good place, as of right now these 3 current adults lack any strength to compete with even Ximungwes who are only 2 females.
They need more members to make up for the weakness of the current generation of adults who unfortunately are nothing like their mothers and Kambula/Ntsevu sisters.
But anyway seeing this video makes me think what a shame it is that the older Talamati died, I think if he was alive now he'd have a shot at being called the largest male in the Sabi Sands by people, considering how even his smaller brother with a small mane looks so impressive.

Lionesses will to mate, like males, is extraordinary and can also make them do stupid things. There’s been countless times I’ve heard of a group of lionesses going into another prides territory following the dominant males, only for that to lead into an altercation between the two prides, with the resident pride usually winning.
Right now, Mhangenis have had several encounters with NK & Khanya so are essentially betting on them staying hence mating with them, and will obviously do the same with PCMs if they meet them. Best way to make sure the new cubs are protected by the two most major threats to them.

I believe such affects of this urge/drive (however you wish to phrase it), is a universal one, spanning across all living creatures, wild and civil alike. I know that back in the day, I might be accused of having done some really stupid things myself, that if thinking with a clear head I might not have done.

Nkuhuma and talamati are starting to carve out an incredible difficult territory to defend much like the southern matimbas being in between the majinagline and matshipiri males on which I believe led the Matimbas to vacate the central sabi sands nkuhuma and talamti are not in a good situation when in comes to having territory for themselves and I fear a fight will likely happen soon but I pray nothing happens
