Offspring of the 3 Sabi Sand duos

Only 3 surviving Ndzhenga offsprings from Styx pride? Is Floppy Ear included? (even if he is sired by one of the other two now passed Ndzhengas he should imho count as their Southern daughters do)

Interesting. If we ass 6 lost cubs of Mhangeni and 3 lost cubs of Tsalala to PCM, we get to 21 which is comparable. Although we all know that PCMs are no without guilt as they weren't there for them when it mattered. At the same time the other two coalitions, Gijimas especially, still have high number count in "cubs" category and thus those have road ahead of them with no guarantee they'll make it, so numbers might get closer to each other in comparison when all is done and settled. Or not, perhaps the opposite, who knows.

@NLAL11 @RookiePundit

You are right, Ndzenga males have 4 surviving offspring from the Styx pride - 3 girls and Floppy ear male, my mistake.

This was always gonna happen, I hope him and NK aren’t in the mood to kill the subs as these lionesses can do nothing about it. Their estrus needs to come as quick as possible to help keep these boys satisfied.

Read the post and either her estrus already here or she’s showing a fake one, as Khanya was mating with her.

His best buddy was with him too

Oh man, I can't speak to Khanya's intentions, but we are all aware of NK's history. Never understood why the PCMs have been so indifferent about this pride, and yet so enamored with a much smaller pride in the Xims. Xim lioness has always appeared to have that little something, extra, due to the sheer number of males that are always so determined to be in her presence.

For sure it si more likely to join up for solo males and unrelated males grouping are more prone to crumble if tested at the wrong time (not bonded enough, different drive to do X, experience/confidence gap), but that happens in coalitions or related males as well, more so in uinexperienced ones.

We can consider these as trends perhaps, rather than rules, but there is always gonna be individuals who will do their own unexpected things and won't fit the norms.

Kambulas and Pretoriuskop joined shortly after they went nomadic, they where what, just over 4 yrs old, as I said, thats quite different.

Delaportes where pretty much all prime males at 6-7 yrs old in late 2019.

Seems NK is on the mood as Nkuhuma Male have wounds and maybe fought a Mhangeni female, not a good sign for the pride as NK has a history of turning violent with his time with Styx Male (his brother not FE) and Nhenha.

Looks like I think as most of us already presumed, Khanya is the more dominant between the two, atleast this very second.

Surprised the lionesses didn’t run off again like they did a few weeks ago when they seen these two boys. I imagine PCMs may pay them a visit next time they see Othawas after picking up on other males.

@Ngonya I don't think any of KK is Gijima's territory, that is all core Nkuhlu territory.

Which is why, I think, the Nkuhlu tried to intimidate the Gijima initially instead of immediately fleeing.

@Potato I do think the Nkuhlu had an edge in that 4v2, it was clear that the Gijima were the underdog, but there's a reason why the Gijima dominates most of these clashes throughout the years and invade and bully the Nkuhlu: the other brothers aren't often healthy enough to do a 4v2 and 5v2.

It's unreliastic to think the Nkuhlu are just unlucky to almost always not be all 4 or 5 together, in fact the other brothers were in the area as well and probably heard the roars, but never showed up.

I doubt PCM will show up ( maybe they will but I doubt they have any interest in that pride ).

There's quite the chance they will lose their remaining 3 cubs. Once the males with the most cubs in the reserve, now out of 11 Mangheni cubs, only 3 remaining.

Since the Mantimahle time from time go to Nkuhuma territory and with PCM abandoning Mangheni, Kambula males could try take over that part of Singita and the pride instead of allowing NK and Talamati to take it, though you can't expect anything from Kambulas.

Very well could be S Avoca, given he was down that way. I don't think Skorro Jr ventured that far south, but they are the two currently MIA.

Gijimas are posted by the reserve and guides and tourists in the area very often, not as much as Nkuhlu bc the 2 cover bigger area in other reserves, but they do rule the area, smaller portion than Nkuhlu but anyway. Mostly bc of the Styx pride thought.

Regardless it seems like Gijimas are the bold ones invading Nkuhlu territory once more, and people will still "blame" it on the 5 males, guess being a bigger/younger coalition brings that status, even thought not completely true. Gijimas are much more of invaders than Nkuhlu ever been in the past year or so
