While it has been discussed, and while I could never hate any lion for just being a lion, what these boys have done ever since they arrived in SS helps one to understand how/why so many hated the Mapogos. For context, I owe my interest in these cats to the Mapogos, and a random video that popped into my YT feed one day, and Makhulu is my all time favorite lion for that very reason. I wondered for years where all of the hatred towards them came from, and though being told of the 100 lions countless times, I just could not imagine what that felt like. What the PCMs have done is only a mere fraction of the destruction those boys were responsible for, but it gives us a glimpse of what that time must have felt like, and helps me to understand how so many people have such strong feelings about them.
He looked even more worn out so hopefully he gave up soon after the video was filmed.
I also got into following these lions in the exact same way. Found the mapogos documentary videos on YT and eventually found WildFact.
He was for sure, I liked how he tried to be nonchalant in using his smelling a bush as a way of taking a breather. "Nothing to see here, I'm just going to stop and smell this bush, in the middle of a high speed pursuit."
The image of such a huge and aggressive male lion playing off his sheer exhaustion as just nonchalance is hilarious.

Exhaustion is a weakness and showing weakness is an open invitation for a challenge.
Though its probably more an attempt to determine though scent if the lioness he is chasing is even receptive to mating.
As for the original Ximhungwe subadult.
I think the sub died just before the Ximhungwe lioness started hanging out with Gingerella. So long before the Ximhungwe, Othawa conflict.
It may have been the PC males, but we should be carefull not to just atribute every missing lion to them now. I dont think the PCmales had much interest in the deep west around that time.

All of these are lions that they have killed or we think they have killed. Did I miss any?
Does anyone know what happened to the ximhungwe females daughter when she first moved back to the western sabi sands I believe it was blondies daughter
cant discount they may have been involed in the death of Lip Scar Nkuhuma. I will add that MOST of these events were not really witnessed but mostly speculated upon based on evidence after the fact. so there is room to have it be other lions in some events.
each event as follows:
- Amber Eyes Daughter - PCMs were seen meters away from the carcass...very likely it was them.
- Tsalala - PCMS AND RN and AE were seen very close to where carcass was found...most believe it was RN/AE and that PCMs likely participated.
- Stompie Talamati - she dissapeared in the region where PCMs patrol heavily...of these events, there the least evidence connecting them to PCM. but its plausible.
- the Othowas - i was never clear on what they were culprits for because it could just as well have been Nhena/NK.
- OM last daughter - she dissapeared aftewr being seen very close to the pride when PCMs visited, she was staying away but we never saw her again.
- Nhenha - that second beating really did it....the old Champ probably could have survived that first fight.
- Lip Scar - broken back indicated other lions...Othowa is an Area PCMs are known to patrol and they were reported in the area pre and post.
the Ximungwe daughter disappeared during a period that Limper Tumbela was courting the Lioness w no real explanation of what led to her disappearing...some speculated hyenas were inviolved.
I agree it was probably Hyenas. I cannot see the Tumbellas attacking the sub either.
The PCmales have a very large territory covering almost 6 prides of lions. (Othawa, Ximhungwe, Mangheni, Ridge, Tsalala and Nkuhuma pride) That's a lot compared with the other coalitions.
It may just be that they are just having more opportunities for violence to occur or that the various prides trying to manoeuvre in this limited space drags them into interpride conflicts. Rather than being more violent themselves.

Cedric also said that he was told six of the Nkuhumas were currently on a buffalo kill on Simbambili. Mentioned the Kambula males chasing some of the subs and that was probably why she was separated.
