The male has been spending his time between K4 and Khanya with other pride members who have both accepted him up until this point. Hopefully both PCMs and Ndzengas going back to their own territories, allowing him to be safe for the time being unless all Kambula boys go back to Northern Sabi Sands.
After writing that I was just thinking K4 and Khanya obviously know of each others existence but there’s a chance they’ve seen each other close up. They’ve been around the exact same areas at some points within the last week and certain pride members have been switching between them. Hopefully they’ve just been avoiding each other so there’s one less male lion they have to worry about.

I can't imagine they weren't aware of each other. I've been curious where Khanya is right now, but if the PCM's are here, and the BDM's are on Djuma. Khanya has to be a master of stealth at this point with all of his journeys. My concern is for K4, who hasn't really had to deal with the brutality of a pair like the PCM's to this point. My heart breaks for the Nkhuma's. Seeing those images of Amber eye's daughter looking sad and following the path of K4 is... ughh. I hate following lions. As for his current positioning, he’s been spotted around the Londolozi boundary recently as per @NLAL11 earlier message. There were several posts and reports and videos of him hanging out with several of the girls, and they looked bonded. I guess nobody actually saw them mate. Let me clarify my previous post: the girl on WildEarth yesterday was one of Amber Eyes' daughters. Tattered Ear and Chela have died, leaving Ridge Nose's daughter, Purple Eye's daughter, and Amber Eyes' other daughter. 4 lionesses. As @Tr1x24 said, two from the Birmingham litter, and two from the first Avoca litter (2019). And there should still be 4 subs left from the 2021 litter, but I can't comment on that for certain after the chaos of the last couple of days. So, NKs should be : 2 females born in 2016 2 females born in 2019/20 4 sub females born in 2021 1 sub male born 2021 Thats if nothing happened what we are not aware of. Amber Eyes' daughters were born July 2019 so they'll be turning 5 in a few months. wait a minute so amber eyes two daughters are not amber eyes two daughters only 1 is and the other is chelas daughter

One of Amber eye's daughters was raised by Chela, I know that, but everything I've read says that the only surviving offspring of Chela is that boy that is with Mohawk now. All could be wrong, and I am so very new to understanding all of this, and those lions are all before my time, so... I guess I know nothing. |
