So this territory is prob unoccupied , although 3 Imbalis should be close towards east and Leeupan, they where seen not long ago in southern MM, so they traversed near this area.

These are the Imbalis that are sons of Mluwathi males right? And weren't they 5 together?

I remember at one point all 5 were seen together. I guess the 4th one just split again and left with the H10 male

They where not seen together as 5 as far as i remember.

H10 male is with Leeupan male, not Imbali (if we think of the same male).

2 Imbalis are on H10.

3 on H1-2.

Can anyone ID that lioness at the very end. Seen one or two videos of an Nkuhuma lioness seemingly waiting for Khanya and thought nothing of it but now I believe she’s genuinely waiting for him. Maybe I’m just misinterpreting her behaviour but if I’m right, and she’s the same one I’ve seen do it in other videos, she’s very keen on him.

Khanya and K4 pretty much ended up being accepted by the whole pride, most likely because they tolerated the subs. ‘Tolerate’ might not be the right word in Khanyas case as he’s been seen showing affection to that 2021 male.

That is interesting. Isn’t that in a lot of cases what younger male lion do? They do not harm the sub adults? The Nukhuma pride has been with the black damn male lions, the Kambula 4 male lion and the Talamatie male lion I always thought now he is; he sees the Nukhuma pride as family ever since he first spend some time with Dark mane with the Nukhuma pride and when he was with Mohawk. The Talamatie male lion must of seen the younger male lion and lionesses also. I think he spend more time with younger Nukhuma lions than the older Nukhuma male lions.

Nkuhuma boys looking extremely impressive. Left side is Ridge Nose son and right side is Chelas son. Lioness they’ve been spotted with has been confirmed to be a Mantimahle lioness - littermates of 2 Mantimahle males born in 2015, making her a half sister to the PCMs according to ‘LionLovers’ on twitter.

so what would be the appropriate topic to post on this 3?

As they are now another coalition rising in Kruger, i posted that way before on the topic lions of Kruger, but i was honestly wondering if it would be more appropriate to post here or elsewhere? (like the Avoca topic)

yet again footage on the boys
Nkuhuma boys on Tshokwane tar road from the Mantimahle side
"Yesterday, 8 June 2024 during our safari, we encountered a male lion who appeared lost. He was calling out and marking his territory as he walked along the Tshokwane tar road from the Manzimahledam side. Eventually, he turned south and disappeared into the tall grass.

Later, we reached the Manzimahledam and spotted another male lion calling from the dam wall. It was an amazing sight as he seemed to be searching for his coalition partner. After some time, he picked up the scent of the first lion and began walking in the same direction. We followed him for about 2 km as he tracked through the bush and eventually ended up on the main road next to us.

After repeatedly calling out, the two lions made contact right next to us."

I can’t speak for the mods, but we spoke briefly about this exact topic in the Sabi Sands thread the other day. Me personally, I certainly wouldn’t mind them staying in this thread until it’s known for sure they will stay in KNP and rule that area. However, if they were to get this lioness pregnant and / or were to takeover a pride in KNP, I think they should stay in the designated thread. Another thing I was thinking was the Avoca thread like u, I’ve heard that majority of the Mantimahle sons have just been posted into the Mantimahle thread as they don’t have a designated thread themselves. I would also be behind that if that’s what the people and mods together want.

He’s the most similar in build to Dzwihala out of all the N.Avoca offspring. Very very bulky lion.

I think the Nkuhuma young males should stay in this thread, until such time, as mentioned, they become territorial and dominant over a pride. As for Mantimahle sons, they can be posted in the Mantimahle thread, until the same things happen, or, if there is no thread for their natal pride, they could go in the Kruger thread. Placing them in the Mantimahle thread makes it easier to keep up with them, and find those posts.
