Nhena wont participate in any hunts now given he is 11 years old and cant hunt properly.

Three Styx lionesses along with three of the N’waswishaka males were seen today lying in the shade waiting for a cooler time to start moving.

Now roaming the reaches of southern Londolozi as their own Breakaway Pride, the Ntsevu Sub-adults are looking impressive. It is going to be very interesting as to what happens to these young males as the lion dynamics ebb and flow.

One of the rangers on the ground says his last sighting was 26 October.   I’m quite concerned indeed.   Been resisting to think what has slowly become obvious.   But in denial.    Crying

If I’m not mistaken, these are the last images captured of Tinyo? He looked well, healthy.

Nhenha is still in incredible condition for his age. He can participate in the hunts without any problem. Hairy Belly, the Matimba male participated on  a buffalo kill with the Othawa pride and he was 13/14 years old at that time.

Rodeo star, Hairy Belly, riding the back of that buffalo is an image I won't ever forget, it was such an incredible sighting.

What was the date of that video? He was clearly not ill, but he disappeared right around the time the N'was marched through their territory.

The video was taken a week before the arrival of the N'waswitshaka males

I think it's becoming obvious that it was Tinyo's dissappearance that invited the N'waswitshaka and forced Nhenha to go east. The N'waswitshaka, Avocas and not even the Plains Camp Males showed signs of having killed a male. There are more ways than lion fights for lions to die. We saw reports of the two Bboys being separated during the invasion but it might have just been one male. Nhenha must have made an attempt at keeping the 4 males out with roaring but retreated east with the core pride and cubs.
