I recommend Tr1 to update the map when the whole Birmingham vs Avoca thing comes to an end, because if you do it now, things can change fast and the map could become outdated.

Well. That could still take months, if not a year.
But waiting to the next update on the Tsalalas and Tinyo seems fair.

At the same time, a map done now could be invaluable in future recording the situation just before significant changes happened. Whatever they will be. The only one likely is Tinyo might not be around for long, but it is hard to tell with him a he looks a bit like that all the time.

Finally got a time to update the map after almost 5 months, a lot have changed in meanwhile:

*This image is copyright of its original author

Updates from the last map:

- Othawa male was unfortunatley killed by BBoys after he invaded their territory in May.
- lone Sparta subadult female passed away, after she survived few months on her own, she was the last of legendary Sparta pride.
- Styx young male died in August, he bleeded out after encounter with Mhangenis/hyenas on a kill.
- Othawa breakaways become nomadic in the past few months, they moved out of SS, but 2 recently returned in their natal area, 2 are still in Kruger prob.
- Imbali/s8 male is added to the map, as he was seen with Talamati females and in Sabi Sands in the past few months, trying to overtake Talamati females prob.
- N.Avocas pushed furter south and now control ex Bboys territory around MalaMala Main Camp, also as seen with few cubless Kambula females in that area.
- 1 of oldest 2 subadult males from Nkuhuma pride passed away after leg injuriy.
- Tsalala and Ximhungwe prides lately are hanging in western sector/Singita.
- Torchwood young male is removed as he was recently seen in Timbavati.
- a lot of new cubs around, some numbers might not be accurate ,because of lack of updates from some prides like Torchwoods or Sand River prides.
- some female subadults numbers from Kambula,Talamati and Nkuhuma prides might not be up to date, as its becoming hard to distinguish them from adult females, and they are often in smaller gruops these days.
- Fourways pride members are removed, as we didnt have update in a very long time.

If anyone has new info about some pride or if notice some mistake, can share and i will update the map.

Both Nwas and S Avocas are regularly seen in southern Mala Mala. I believe territorrys of both those coalitions should have been streteched significantly further north (particularly Avocas) than how it is on the map. In fact southern Mala Mala never was considered BIrmingham's territory. With most recent movements of Birminghams it is now debatable I guess, but personally I would still place Avocas as the dominant coalition of southern Mala Mala as it was constantly since 2018. I also think fourways pride should have been placed significantly further north, toughing north - central Mala Mala.

Those circles are territories of prides, theres no coalitions territories marked on the map, its even in the name of the map "Prides of Sabi Sands".

I put males basically in the core of their territory, i dont want to put circles around their estimated range of territory because map would be too much and i dont think its necessary..

And when i meant that if somebody has some new info or see some mistakes to say, i didn't meant this kind of stuff : " oh this circle should be 1 cm up, or to the left.. Or this male or female should be a bit right", yet with some useful information..

Cmon, this is just estimated/approx. territories and positions of the lions, i even said that on the map (bottom left), you cant make 100% accurate map, all these lions move around daily too different areas..

Man…this is fantastic work @Tr1x24.  I had been waiting on an update on this and you hit a grand slam.  You even have the 4 new Styx cubs and the 4 new Kambula cubs.  Just great.   My only observation is the Nkuhumas have 7 cubs not 6.  All seen today actually with both Avocas.

Yeah, I was gonna post this as well - on yesterday (Sep06) WE's footage of Nkuhumas in Djuma on a giraffe kill, there could be seen 7 cubs at one time, all roughly equal size, so for now there's 7.

Awesome work, I like the little details like of one Tumbela being positioned neard Ximhungwes and is very up to date. And with this visual one can only realize how full if cubs Sabis Sands is getting day by day.
