No, Tigers are the same as lions in terms of strength.
Why would one cat weighing 220kgs have better luck than another cat weighing 220kg?

I´ll write a little bit more. What comes to strength, of course big animals, which @Pckts mentioned have strength to tip cars, it´s totally another thing if they do it, because they usually don´t know how it would be done. Elephants naturally can do such things even by accident, they are after all... elephants.

What comes to big cats, lions and yes, of course tigers too for sure, imo, have more than enough strength to tip some car, at least cars around 700-1000 kg, like we see strongmen to do in competitions sometimes. But.. again, who would teach them how to use their potential, they don´t have our hands and intelligence. So no, we´ll never see such thing to happen, even though these animals are extremely strong.

And then as I said, tackling a bigger animal is another thing. If a 2500 kg elephant sees a lion coming and jumping and decides that ok, I push back a bit, that elephant won´t even flinch when lion bounces back. But if/when that elephant gets scared it can be caught off balance. When discussing about these things, it´s good to separate certain things from each others and keep things realistic.

Big Cats don't have the morphology to tip cars, a Human can deadlift since it's bipedal while a big cat isn't meant to lift in that way, they're meant for dragging and pulling.
But of course a big cat is stronger than the strongest man, although I'd love to see Thor Bjornsson put on a harness and have a tug of war with a Lion or Tiger.

That is what I meant overall, they are strong enough, but they don´t know how to use it to do such things. Even with that morphology I think, that they could do it, if they just could get a grip from car with front paws :) But since this is so hypothetical I don´t have so much interest towards it. I´ll post here next time, when I see some impressive hunting case :)

Again, let's be realistic.
What do you mean "Knock"
A Lion is not coming close to Knocking over a 2 Ton Elephant or Bull Cape that weighs less than a Ton.





If 3 male lions still get overpowered, what chance does one male Lion have in overpowering an alpha Cape Bull?
Hamstringing is a different story. 
Maybe if a Lion gets a full head of steam and blindsides a Bull it may have a chance of knocking it off balance but that's a stretch imo.

I respect Dereck and Beverly immensely but they would not know exactly how old the elephant was, nor would they know how much it weighs. 






But again, that wouldn't have to do with overpowering an animal, that would have to do with catching it off guard. But as you see above, they are more than capable of dragging them down, but a Big Cape Bull isn't getting dragged down like that and no way can a Lion tip a truck over.

So you didn't watch the video I posted?
He dragged that elephant down, he didn't blindside it and knock it over.
He rode it's back until the Elephant was exhausted and in pain and finally was able to drag it down.

And again, you have no idea how much that Elephant weighs, correct?
And no, because he says 6 years old, it isn't confirmed. Unless he knows this animal since birth which I can almost guarantee he doesn't, he would simply be estimating it.
And since neither have any experience with weighing Elephants to my knowledge, he wouldn't know what they would weigh either.
