There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Hello, I have been living in the french part of the Switzerland for 24 years ago. 10.000 km2 and 1-1,2 million inhabitants, two cities counting more than 100.000 inhabitants Genf and Lausanne. But a lone zoo in the Vaud countryside, the Servion zoo, founded in 1975. With the help of a bank after a few well-managed years, they could acquire a couple of siberian tigers, then a couple of lions during the 1990s. Apart from these big felids, we can see some brown bears, wolves, cougar, but I believe this zoo is particularly famous as concerns the small monkeys of the South America continent (Tamarin monkeys).

Among the biggest animals: the European bisons.

If you want to see this zoo site:

No lion since 2017, year of the late lioness's death. But late tuesday a new young king, coming from the Erfurt zoo (Germany) is arrived. 18 months old and weighing soon 105 kilos. A lionness will follow in few weeks.

For those who want to see its arrival:

And to understand more informations, don't hesitate to ask me for clearing some points.

Brutus meets Catarina

Nex- Conservationist Breeding Ground:

Cristina Gianni

'' Brutus was a little scared perhaps due to the almost total lack of vision. I know that this encounter with Catarina was important to him, as he had never been close to another jaguar before.''

Catarina testing the patience of Brutus.

" Whilst staying at Lion House or Lion Lodge you can have the ‘Human Cage Lion Experience’ as an additional extra. We decided our professional photography cage could have a dual purpose and that it could also be used for our lion lover visitors to have an awesome & authentic adrenalin experience to see the iconic apex predator as close up as is possible, safely. You can see the lions jump on top of you through the plexi glass ceiling of the cage and witness them from a completely new angle & perspective. All cats big & small love a box and they are extremely curious, licking the box, rubbing up against it, even ‘marking’ it. You can hear them, smell them & see them like never before. You can see their teeth, paws and claws as close as is possible without getting hurt!! It is the most amazing and super exciting experience for any big cat lovers.

We charge approx US$200 for 2 people 45mins inside the cage. Currency rates fluctuate. All booking monies helps towards the lions upkeep. For more information and reviews please visit

Just look at the comparison between Aslan and Aragorn in the first picture, Aslan pretty much outsized him that it looks like Aslan is a different subspecies of lion while in reality both are East African lions.
