There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

"This year I went with Rupert G Lewis and Attila Kobori to Malaysia and Thailand for 3 1/2 weeks. We had an awesome trip with lots of snakes. Specifically, we found 75 snakes, represented by 39 species. Of course we did not only find snakes, we saw some nice lizards, amphibians and other animals too.
This picture of a monocled cobra (Naja kauthia) is my absolute fovourite one of the whole trip." October 2015

A close encounter with King Cobra the rare green variety at western ghats in April 2016. I could not get a full shot of this beauty since i waiting for hornbill with my 600 mm lens and out of blue came this cobra just 8 to 10 feet from me.

Beautiful indeed. I loved the striking pattern and colour mix, I think it's the first I've seen this way.
