There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Did he just hesitated going after the main group, or there was an obstacle that made him change targets so abruptly?

"Killing a camel is not easy, for its neck is too high and the bones too big; dragging it, too, is difficult. Still, this tigress manages to drag it to a safe place, through thick scrub and bushes, where it provided a lot of meat for her two full-grown cubs and her."
From The story of the Indian tiger, by Kailash Sankhala.

Alwyn Fernandez‎

Sonam at Tadoba taking kill.

Prashant Kulkarni
4th June, It was a hot n humid afternoon @ Tadoba. Tigress Sonam was sleeping in bushes for almost 3 hours and all vehicles were waiting to get a glimpse of the Telia Queen.

Around 10-12 Indian Gaurs were quenching their thirst at the water body. And suddenly the queen came out and charged towards these 2.

That was a unsuccessful attempt by Sonam, but watching it live was a thrill.
