There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

@Rage2277
I assume these are most likely Uma's cubs since he and DJ have been mating off and on since 2018?
back when uma and jamuntola were at it she had cubs and uma was trying to court her that is an odd thing to do if he is the father
Wanting to mate doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t his especially with another male in his territory. I do know he’s been seen with her for the past 2 years more often than any other male. I’d say the odds of them being his are higher than any other at least.

Not sure yet, I don’t see CM either. I don’t even think CM was around when these guys were conceived.

Yes, most likely poached.

More Poaching news coming from Kanha

Sad news coming from our beloved Kanha National Park.  A young Tigress aged about 2 years and possibly MV 3’s daughter from her last litter, was found dead with a snare on her neck intended for bush meat by the local villagers.  She clearly had a painful death… This raises many painful and uncomfortable questions - how safe are our tigers, could this have been avoided, have we adequately achieved village relocation for the wildlife to thrive, what was the fault of the poor tigress, could this happen again, could we do something now so that this doesn’t happen again.. so on and so forth.. I wonder where is CM and hope against hope that he is doing fine wherever he is and would not have met with a similar fate.

Add on by myself : What was witnessed by me in my recent trip to kanha is that all department can do is make strict rules for tourists in the name of animal protection. Tourists who comes and pays to see these majestic cats have to follow each and every rule specially nowadays which is 20 km/ hr else vehicle and guide is banned if caught and what department is doing ?

This big male from Satpura is called “the flying male” because he is faster than other males apparently.

sagargosavi.photography -#Satpura #tiger #male photographed on 26th Jan. It was my 5th visit to Satpura since Oct. and each time it offered some exceptional opportunity to shoot big cats. This magnificent male, for quite sometime he was wrongly identified as Legendary Ravan, but he is now fondly called as Ravan 2. with #eosr5 @jehannumawilderness @alyrash @shubham_alave

In Bandhavgarh we see 4 tiger cubs exploring the forest together, then afterwards decide to take a relaxing drink at the watering hole.
