There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Darraha Bacchi, daughter of Darraha female and Bheem. Just like her brother Bajrang, she is massive for her age. Lately, she was pushing Tara out of Khitauli except Tara got help from Chota Bheem who is the ruling male and Darraha bacchi’s brother from another mother (also Tara’s mate) for backup and fortified her territory.

On a side note, the Darraha female is raising Bheem’s cubs without him being around.

The very impressive L mark male, Pench. Just 4.5 years old, this giant hasn’t even reached his prime.

@Rage2277, yeah, he was meandering for some time. There is a lot of apprehension that he won’t make it especially given the influx of so many young males. He was the most shy of the Dotty litter.

SUB ADULT MALE CUB OF DJ FEMALE IN HIS ABODE

In the morning news came from Mukki Zone that DJ female and her three male cubs were trying to hunt a gaur. But since they were all behind the bushes, it was not known if they were able to hunt.

In the afternoon safari we went straight to that area of Mukki Zone. Tourists of a full day safari gypsy told that mom and cubs had come down.

So we went to chota chattapata. Then we thought to check babathenga road.We were going on that way when suddenly we saw a cub sitting on a rock.

Then he slowly came down from the rock and crossed the road towards the waterhole, named chatti talav, with full belly.

So we were sure that the killing was successful. After a heavy lunch his stomach was full, he was thirsty, so he went to Chatti Talav to quench his thirst.

@Roflcopters, ah yes! the massive Singham! Son of Bokha and Jhurjhura female. He jumped over the fence if I recollect correctly when he was like 13 months old. He was the exact age as Bheem and would have been his biggest competitor. That would have been some struggle between Bheem and Singham in their pomp.

It’s a shame he was poached when translocated to Satpura. The bright side of that incident was it made Satpura super cautious about poaching. Today, Satpura is thriving. I think his sister is still in Satpura. She has given birth to 3 litters.
