He's now fought two of the three toughest two member coalitions around, and survived. Not saying you, @T_Ferguson, are saying this, but it seems that many have been quick to discount these accomplishments. We have not seen much of him moving and walking around since his run in with the Gijimas, but from everything I have seen there is not a lot of external damage. I believe what he has done, and gone through, all within just the past few months, is incredible, and that he is an amazing cat!

Finally a decent shot of him.  It's a bit worrying the black splotches on him in Sabi with so many lions that were not long for this place after showing them.

Seems to be getting around better. These black splotches seem to appear different to my eyes, and not in the same places. These, to me, appear to be more along the lines of healing wounds. Usually the black spots that appear, likely a result of TB, on the lions you references, those spots typically appear right at the joints of the shoulders/hips, seem to cover a smaller area, and are, typically, more uniformly round, this area seems more spread out to me. Then again, what do I know, I share your hopes that these are not that.

His thin hips have appeared like that for some time as well, first noticed them before he was even attacked by the PCMs on the air strip. Reply

Yes, but his left hip is probably still a bit lame as he favors it, but overall, no major new chronic issues.....  We can't see the other side from this angle.  Hopefully, it doesn't look worse.  Doesn't appear to be limping very heavily, good. Reply
