There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
I guess this is going to be his life for now. With good days of full mobility, and bad days like these.
There is hoping nobody knocks on his door on a bad day as there is no way he will survive a fight in this condition.
Which is probably also why he looks so skinny. The competition in the pride for meat is high and he cant keep up.
Lets hope he heads back to the Ximhungwes soon. Its a much better spot for him.
Exactly, Unfortunately the limp of this Tumbela male won't heal at the 100% never, this kind of injury, not always, But in the majority of the scenarios lead the lions to the starvation and then to the death. It happened with a few lions that I've following before.

The resemblance is amazing because they are from entirely different prides, having unrelated mothers. Very dominant paternal genes. Skorro's legacy. Let's hope both of these males can continue the bloodline.

How old is limper?? did he get injured by his aunt??
The Tumbela/Nharu males were born in November 2015 onward. So, Limper will turn 6 in late 2021 more or less. When all three males were seen in Sabi Sands around Singita, he already has the limp.
The limp isnt caused by Auntie. It appears they had a extremely rough nomadic life in Kruger.
They started as a coalition of 5 when they left their natal pride Nharu. But quickly disappeared in Kruger until only 3 of them limped back into the western sector roughly a year ago with most of their current health issues. Like Limpers limp or Scars illness.
I think if it wasn't for the Othawa pride, most if not all would have been death by now.

Dont think they would be dead by now if not for Othawas (if you meant because of food source), 1 healthy male is enough to keep them feed, also both Scar and Limper where actually in better conditions when they arrived in western sector/ Singita, then they where with Othawas. But in Scar's case, he would die anyways because of disease.
I think Scars Tuberculosis would have caught up to him even faster, and he was the most healthy one when they first arrived. Limper on a good day could help his brother, but if he is forced to fight or flee on a limp day. It would be pretty much over for him.
