There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

This looks to be limper and not Scar.

Based on his hindquarters, this is Scar Eye.  He's on the fringes of the pride now, whose members see him as a liability.  His right hindleg is scarred and his hip bones stick up sharply.  If this is Blondie, then he's looking as bad as Scar.  I don't think so because he was seen scrambling up a tree pretty nimbly, along with the Ximhungwe Lioness in a recent clip.

Its Scar, you can see bite marks on his back legs, which he has.

The quality and angle is not so good but compared to the other photo this one is encouraging. I hope things get better for him

The Othawa pride and the Tumbela males killed a Kudu bull in front of Inyati camp yesterday.

Comparing with the fact Limper has looked really improving in recent videos (climbing up a tree w Ximungwe) I’m inclined to agree.   Can’t be the same lion.   I wish I would have seen it live instead of the scene caps and seen him walking…Limper still sports a limp favoring his front paw at moment.

Well, lionesses aren't eating neither, he is only letting cubs near the kill because he knows they wont eat too much.. this is how lion society works, its all about strenght and dominance, if you are not strong enough or willing to fight for a share of a kill, which Scar obiviously isnt, you need to wait for leftovers.

Im sure he will get some food later alongside females.

Its great to compare this situation with recent Nwaswitshaka males fight, where we can see how dominant male around the kill (Amahle) was challenged by his brother Gore, and in the end Gore stole a kill from him, Gore was very decisive to get piece of that kill, even tho he knew he would get beaten in the process.

I don't know. Its constantly him we are seeing in this position and being malnourished. So I don't think the situation is as it is in a normal situation where everybody is healthy.
He might not get any until even the lionesses are satisfied.

Word is going around that he has stage 4 Tuberculosis.

Edit: Stage 4 Tuberculosis not 3.

Another clip of that kill with Skorro and the pride feeding. Scar was apparently further away in the bushes, but was allowed to feed eventually.

Scar and Skorro at that same kill. Scar looks really weak, especially compared with the rest.. Mostly just laying there as if struggling to stay awake. I hope that means he is digesting.

Poor Boy is barely skin and bones.  He’s sadly not going to last very long.   Big shame how fast he’s declined and can’t keep his weight

Hope western rangers have mercy and euthanize him (althrough i dont think they do that, some areas do) , he will clearly not recover and will only suffer more, until eventually he will be killed off slowly by hyenas..
