Now that I see she has returned to the pride, what became of those young sub males?

They are doing more then fine alone, hanging in western sector, Junior is over 3 yrs old and by rangers words he is big as those Tumbelas, also they are saying that young female is excellent hunter, she will prob rejoined the pride when 3 males leave the area, that will prob happen later this year when 2 younger males become around 3 yrs old, theres always possibility that she might follow them, but lets hope that doesnt happen, it would be disaster for her and for Othawa pride.

@Tr1x24  , thank you so much my friend, for the update. You made my day with this post, we finally got some much needed good news, in what has felt like a sea of recent bad news. I knows it is highly unlikely due simply to the distances involved, but Junior is another one I would like to see BYM meet up with and build something positive. Cheers!!

I think Juniors coalition is already the perfect size. Adding more lions to it would only mean another gets the short end of the stick and may eventually decide to leave. There are young coalitions in worse shape that could use the numbers. Such as the Othawa male or the Styx and Nkuhuma young males. Though ultimately, young male lions are pretty expendable in nature. So the dynamics may be much different in a few months.

Regardless. I hope that lioness in the video is Auntie. Who is known to be sterile.
Lionesses rarely mate when pregnant or having young cubs, so it would be a pity if it was the other two.
It could mean that they have another lioness suffering from fertility issues or that JRs Mom lost another litter and it would be a sad end for a once great pride.

Its Junior's mom.

People think she has a litter because of suckle marks, but she has those for half a year now, prob are just like that now.

Thats a pity. That pride really could use a big litter of lionesses. Especially if Gingerella doesnt return.

Personally, it's really wonderful to see Limper's limp has healed and that he's walking a lot better now. That's a great boost for Othawa Pride, especially it has been reported that the two lionesses have given birth. I remember watching the video around 2 months ago of Limper running, limping, to join the zebra feast, which was sad to see.
And, I hope Scar also is doing a lot better.

More pics from Diff Mariman. People will say he looks skinny but he honestly looks so much better and will continue to improve with time and feeding well.
