There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Have we forgot how the Kambulas looked? They were covered in blood, with several puncture wounds on their limbs and back, especially the one caught by Gijimas.

Still they quickly made a full recovery. Of course maybe Tumbela got unlucky and has a permanent new injury but for now I'm optimistic.

I admire the optimism.  Slight age difference for the Kambula's and a bit more juice for hunting with 5 of them together (inclusive of the sister).

Tumbela is 8yo, in his prime.

Injured Kambulas only rejoined their siblings once they had already recovered enough that they weren't at risk of anything. Tumbela has survived well since the fight and has stolen a zebra kill from the Mangheni pride recently, he also looks in decent condition and can potentially meet up with Nkuhuma at any time now ( they are in the same area ).

Not to say, again, that both Kambulas looked much worse than Tumbela who we can barely see any injuries, limp aside.

Is that accurate the Tumbela male lions age? How old are the Othowa lionesses? If the Tumbela male lions were 6 or 7 years of age would he be about 9 years of age if the Othowa lionesses are 2 or 3?

Last Tumbela is youngest of his brothers, born early 2016.

His more dominant brothers were older and mated so much more initially with the Othawa Lionesses, whereas he wasn't even 5 when they were conceived.

Makes sense considering his age. How time flies!

He should be in his prime right now, but he's very beat up and has lingering injuries.  The NK Male was born very late in 2016.  7.5 to 8 year old males.

Nkuhuma was born May/June 2016. So he’s already 8 as well.

Well, we all know how easy it can be to get wrapped up in a good book, you don't want to move at all.

He's now fought two of the three toughest two member coalitions around, and survived. Not saying you, @T_Ferguson, are saying this, but it seems that many have been quick to discount these accomplishments. We have not seen much of him moving and walking around since his run in with the Gijimas, but from everything I have seen there is not a lot of external damage. I believe what he has done, and gone through, all within just the past few months, is incredible, and that he is an amazing cat!

No arguments...  It just sucks that he keeps having to fight alone

Well, he sure had rotten luck. I think if it wasnt for the Othawas being such an easy target back then that coalition would be extinct ages ago.
Warrior or Phoenix is a bit much. But he sure is a survivor.
