There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

A year after significantly increasing its tiger population (Panthera Tigris) nearly threefold over a span of 12 years, Nepal’s conservation authorities and stakeholders opted to shift their strategy from merely boosting numbers to maintaining this significant achievement.
  • In 2023, conservation officials and stakeholders in Nepal redirected their efforts from merely increasing tiger populations to fostering human-tiger coexistence and establishing corridors that facilitate the movement of tigers between various habitats.
  • While the issue of poaching has been largely mitigated, challenges remain due to adverse human-tiger interactions and the expansion of infrastructure, which hinder the achievement of conservation objectives.
  • Additionally, in the same year, the country's environment minister suggested permitting sport hunting as a means to manage the tiger population; however, this proposal was met with significant opposition from conservationists.
With the highest Tiger density of 4.06 in Chitwan national park and 7.15 in Bardiya national park, Nepal is the top destination for Tiger tracking tours.

As I do with all new members, I'd like to invite you to peruse our rules section, and also give you a link to our tutorial section. Youtube shorts videos require a special procedure, in order to embed them on the site. I fixed this one for you, no worries, but you will find the proper procedure in the tutorial section. Enjoy WildFact!
