These guys better watch out for the birminghams, they have been frequently malamala quite a lot now days. If birminghams see this presence of the mantimahle as a challenge to their status as dominant males, things will turn bloody very quickly.

I don't think 2 Big coalitions will fight against each other
One of the coalitions have to single out and caught the opposite number off guard.
If full coalitions meet then it will be lots of roaring and showing aggression and chasing, may not have physical contact

Agree. If one member of either coalition is caught during the back and forth it won't turn out well.
Each and every day we set out for drive we have absolutely no idea what awaits us... This morning we followed the tracks of some male lions crossing onto our property. I started dreaming, could it possibly be them?
We followed the tracks for quite some time to no avail...BUT then there they were, walking straight down the road!! The 4 Mantimahle Males on patrol at Kirkmans Kamp
This fearsome coalition of four completed their usual monthly traverse of kirkmans kamp, walking on and off in less than a day.
They sure know how to remain an enigma, whilst also enchanting all those lucky enough to lay eyes on them.
It was an action packed 2 days on the Reserve! 7 lion sightings: The 4 Mantimahle males provided us with much entertainment as the moved through southeastern Charleston and hunted buffalo. At one stage the coalition had a buffalo surrounded and it seemed the writing was on the wall... not only did the bovine successfully fend off the lions but it appeared to hang around for more! An impressive escape when you consider the size of the Mantimahle males.
