Msutlu Pride, in the description it was said that the females are having some difficulty in providing the necessary nutrients for the cubs, one of the youngest cubs had a tick attached to its cheek and one of the older ones was seen trying to suckle, the Pride heard some lions roaring and decided to leave the area with some caution

K3 (Kambula/Ntsevu male) and at least one other of them were with her as well. I believe it was K3 that was seen mating with her.

Edit: Footage of the three of them.

Tiyelele & K3 WildEarth Sunset safari 22nd January. K5 was with them. They were on Vuyatela Access close to Sandy Patch, so right up in the north-west section of Djuma.

Great effort in giving a visual to the lineage.

Some questions,,,this chart intimates that the 4 females of the Msutlu Pride are daughters of SE,,,that’s not possible if that’s the case.

Since there’s no confirmation of exactly who was born to who, wouldn’t it be better that the Msutlu line drop from a combination of the 2 older lionesses?

I’m a visual Lerner and this is very helpful

Also, the "probably no offspring" for the Talamati males doesn't quite work.

1/3 Talamati Matimba ruled for many years with 1/3 Mangheni and 2 unrelated males, and still had small cubs by 2023.

@criollo2mil

Maybe it was misunderstood, but I meant that Mtsulu pride is made up of 4 females, 2 daughters of SE and 2 daughters of Matimba daughter. From the generation of cubs born in 2019, only Khanya was in the litter of "Talamati Queen", while the two Selati daughters were still too young to get pregnant, according to my research.

@Mapokser

As far as I know, 1/3 Talamati Matimba's son was last seen near Phabeni gate with 2 Mangheni males and an unrelated partner in 2018 or 2019. From what I could read, only one Mangheni male was seen in 2023. Anyway, it would be more accurate to say "no documented offspring" than "probably no offspring". I'm doing some corrections to the Graphic so I will appreciate evidence about the cubs of Talamati male seen in 2023.

I was told the matimba daughter gave birth to 5 cubs (2M 3F) Darkmane jr and his brother who went missing and one sister went missing and silver eye (2F) and her sister queen talamati (1M 1F) khanya and his sister went missing each old queen gave birth too two cubs

Well, that reaffirms that the 4 Msuthu females are daughters of Queen Talamati and "Matimba daughter"

Yup but silver eye has the 2 daughters and I believe the female they call brown tawny she had the youngest cubs she is daughter of the matimba talamati female

@FACR2212 Mangheni was with 1 other male and a pride with cubs in his 2023 sightings.

Also, it was found out here by Brahim old pictures of at the time unknown males who turned out to be Talamati and the unrelated males.

A few photos and sightings of them throughout the years, including Talamati mating while 1/2 unrelated male watched.

The 3 new Transport Dam males ( who were mistaken by Othawas a few years ago as one resembled Jr Othawa ) might even be their sons given their look and unknown origins in the area, though of course it's impossible to know.
