Size comparisons

Based on all the new recent jaguar data, I decided to make a comparison between Pantanal jaguar and its closest felid relative in size, the Sumatran tiger, as both animals are often compared between one and other. The data for Sumatran tigers is more scarce and less updated, nonetheless what we do have of them is decent enough to provide measurements:

Rogério wild Cerrado male jaguar's Pugmarks

Just for the sake of comparison, here's how the skulls of an equivalently sized Sarkastodon and Eustreptospondylus stack up, both of them being jaw based predators. The difference in skull size is quite surprising, especially considering they would have hunted similarly tough prey in a similar fashion.

American mastodon vs Tyrannosaurus rex - average vs average as skeletals and max vs max greyed out.
The mastodon represented via a skeletal is 289 cm SH and 7.8 tonnes, the Tyrannosaurus represented via a skeletal is 11.2 meters TL and 6-6.3 tonnes, the greyed out mastodon is 325 cm SH and is 11 tonnes, and the greyed out Tyrannosaurus is 12.3 meters TL and 8-8.4 tonnes.
