Be interested to hear as well, if it's known. Then again lions, and other wildlife, get ailed in accidents just like us; stepped awkwardly on a stone while running, pulled a muscle while running, stepped on a thorn. Could also have be a contact injury while hunting, tangling with a porcupine and getting a jab. Any number of things without even factoring other lions into it.

Remarkable creatures, in how resilient they are.

Love on the streets of Kruger National Park!

An amazing sighting of one of the four Shish male lions and his mate enjoying their honeymoon on the streets of Kruger, in front of many people, offering them a spectacular sight they will never forget.

Nice to see him still alive! Once he and Ximhamham lost their territory to Trichardts, I thought they were both going to die

The Last Old Shishangaan male.
"The last remaining Shish male seen here with a full belly. I suspect that he stole a kill from 4 mananga lionesses that were also seen in the vicinity"
