There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

The most beautiful lion in the wild, I really don't know. But this short video realized by an admirer/worshipper clearly shows that Casper actually is unique  in the world.

Great to see that three of the cubs from the previous litters have made it to around a year old. Survivability chances from that age with stable pride males increases a heck of lot compared to the odds of young cubs. The future of the pride is looking good.

We were sitting at N'semani Dam near Satara early one morning when we heard some lion roaring. Such a magic sound. A few minutes later and what a sight ... 8 truly magnificent lionesses lit by the dawn light came striding through the bushes and down to the dam for a big drink. We just couldn't believe our eyes!

**Warning - this post contains images of a lion kill**

Once the 3 males had rushed in they actually chased the female away and finished off the kill themselves. 3 large cubs also joined them and they all feasted together (the two females didn't get anything to eat).

Nice to see them letting the cubs eat over the lionesses, they seem to be caring fathers

Dated from yesterday (23th February). Casper walked down the road and called its brothers softly...
