News of the Last Shishangaaan Male being alive.

I’m posting here but I’m still confused if it’s correct place or if the coalitions thread is.

Im happy to see him alive. He is likely to abandon his females and become a nomad now, which means that the future of the youngest cubs in the video is in jeopardy

It is fine to post here, this thread is meant to contain both the young Shish and their dads

How's he in such good shape still. Majingalanes seemed to just hit a wall around 12-13 in terms of age and just lost all condition within just a couple months. Other lions like Shishangenis and Shishangaan males seemed to not have aged in the same way as most and move like much younger lions, they definitely have some great genes when it comes to age.

Well, only 2 out of each coalition, Shishagaans and Shishangenis, reached those ages, rest of their brothers died of earlier.

And only 2 Shishangenis reached age of around 12, while 3 Majigilanes reached that age , although those 2 Shishangenis would prob live further if they didnt get killed, as they still looked in peak condition ( like 12 yrs old Nhenha also, for example).

I mean, in big coalitions, you will always have 1,2 males who reach those ages, as last of their brothers, those usually have best and healthiest genes out of their brothers, and are lucky enough to not get disease or got killed earlier.

Very recent sighting (on 13th May 2023) of Casper and its brothers, all looking good...except Casper still limping a bit.

Ghost of Kruger. Hope Casper can bring us some white cubs in the future. Unfortunately, it depends that both sides (Fathers/Mother side are carried of the white gene)
