They are related, he would not accept none related lions at his territory, what I think is the case is that he has a big territory and several females which lives in separate groups, and since these males looks sub adult he probably has been with other lioness groups which is in heat. and that since lions are known to struggle to recognize other lions they probably felt threatened by this large male coming in at high speed.
Or simply they saw he was in attack mode because of the hyenas and where just scarred and attacked in panic.

Amazing, this are my favorite males from this part of Africa. And your pictures are beautiful.
Sikio of the Musketeers.

I'm not completely sure, but could this picture be one when they were young? (Judging by the wound in the eye of the male, similar
to Scar's wound).

I'm pretty sure it's like this: Morani, Sikio and then Scarface :-)

It's a beautiful looking coalition, this is actually the lion that owns the Marsh pride the most viewed lion pride. Notch himself was a marsh pride lion.

@Pantherinae I found this video a couple of days ago. Is the young male Scar from the musketeers?

In any case, it's amazing how agressive the young male is and how well the older one controls the situation.

Amazing video @Majingilane that's without a doubt Scarface! I actually think the male he fights against are Hunter or Morani they had their manes developed earlier, but it could also be an earlier marsh pride leader, har to tell in this video!

Scarface is really a very beautiful lion... We understand by watching it why the lions were symbols of struggle, power and majesty during so much time.
