There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Thats an extremely dangerous move now with Nhenha around. If he keeps doing that, we will soon see the end of atleast one coalition.

It seems it is like with late OM lion, who regualrly visited a infertiule Kmabula and was caught by BBoys.

Skorro is about to meet the same fate.

I think that's what happened to Limper.  He went to see the Ximhungwe lioness and ran into Nhenha and the Nkuhuma male instead. Normally, I think she would have fed him while he visited her, but when he had to go a different route back to avoid those two boys again, it was just too far and with his TB he just couldn't make it home without a couple meals.  I think he had time left in him to live but only when he was regularly propped up with food.
It seems when an animal has TB, food doesn't stick with them long and weight melts off quickly.

That certainly seems possible, given he'd spent quite a bit of time with her previously, and then had that run in with the two of them, just before his extended walk-about.

Not only with animals, one of principles for TB treating in humans is to consume foods that are high in calories and nutrients.

Yes, I fear this is what will happen as well, with the Othawa females unaware and the pride unprotected.

Is this the Othawa Pride circa 2008?

It's hard to say without a clearer shot of the adult females; there should be 2 (1 being half ear) they had 7 cubs by Mapogo, with 1 being killed in an altercation between the pride and the Sand River pride circa Jul 2008.  we know that 3 of those female cubs survived and 3 of the sub males also, until at least until Sept 2010.  Unless this is the pride before the Mapogos killed all the cubs; at that time there would have been 3 lionesses (including 1/2 ear) with the cubs and 3 lionesses with the 3 sub adults (2males 1 female)

Apparently there has been some sort of alteration and Juniors mom, some cubs and Skorro have gone missing.

Another Facebook Farce?

The Reports are apparently coming from guides.  Omega was mentioned as a source.   I’ve asked myself but have been ghosted thus far lol.

What is the report? That she just disappeared or are they attributing it to a particular incident?

This is whats being reported.

Last sighting of Skorro Jr
August 13
It seems that there was another confrontation between Othawa's & the 2 Birminghams 4-5 days ago. Junior's mom and her 2 cubs got seperated from the pride but were seen by a guest. Male cub looked afraid.
August 16
Auntie and Sassy were seen with 5 cubs.
August 18
Junior's mom still missing. The 2 Birminghams & 2 PCMS were seen in Othawa territory.
To be honest, its been a while that we heard of Skorro. But that makes sense seeing his position.
But this is the first I hear of that altercation and that we are missing 2 cubs and a lioness.

Well, this is an answer to our speculation, it seems Ottawa pride will simply cease to exist.
