There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

My Friend Rafael Hoogesteijn works in el Pantanal in Brazil with Jaguars, he told me that he has not measure  a skull larger than the one pictured from Venezuela. Do you know of one larger than this one in el Pantanal?

Nop, for the contrary, most of the skulls that I have personally saw are smaller, but this is because they came from jaguars from Guatemala. Regarding documents, the longest jaguar skull that I remeber is one reported by De Almeida that measured 323.9 mm in greatest length and 201.6 mm wide.

@GuateGojira
Thanks it is a giant skull larger than the largest measured in Venezuela

Is the second skull from the list of the "Monster class" skulls in De Almeida book. The skull No. 1 is "larger" just because is wider so add more points over all, but is shorter than the number 2.

This is a very good photo, I think. There is something extraordinary when looking especially that head. This photo transmits certain feeling of power. At least for me.

Is this a Pantanal jaguar, as suggested by the name 'Pantanaloficial'?

Pictures of big Venezuelan Jaguars, in the book they don't mention the locality where the pictures were taken but I am sure they were from the Venezuelan Llanos.
