There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Notch 2.His eye may have been blinded .But let's just hope it's just the swelling .Seems like it may have been a lioness over food .But let's hope for the best .And wish our guy a quick recovery. They are at the age of concern and only two left .Kind of like a parent ,representing and fighting for them all these years with great difficulty and opposition ,jealousy and hate ,stalking and manipulation ,back bitting from these so called lion lovers with their little groups they made all over .Based on the work done by this page.We Notch the lion king of the Mara have over come always wanting the best for not just Notch and his sons but for all lions .Lets hope for the best .But one thing there is a reason why Fate chose us this page to for fight and represent not just Notch and his sons but for all lions but not these other hateful jealous people.Wishing you recovery our son Notch 2 .

Yesterday we followed Notch 2. He rested the whole day in the shade of the bushes. Notch 2 has an injury of the skin at his right eye. The wound doesn’t seem to be chronically and the eyeball not affected yet. It was interesting to see that a small helper, a paradise flycatcher, picked the flies at his wound. His brother Caesar was not seen.

Hmmm.. You never know. Lions are built to have more endurance!
Given the fact that age is also catching up.. interesting time ahead..
May be their own bloodline may challenge them!!

1.Who's longer?

2.Who's bigger?
3.Who's larger?
4.Who's more dominant?
Both are beautiful in their own ways. So no question about that.
May I request anyone here to post a recent picture of 2017 of both the boys standing together with their body sizes determinable?
Thank you in advance.

For 1,2,3 Its Ceaser
For 4, its Notch 2

Thanks for the reply mate. Much appreciated...

The legendary Notch's bloodline continues. It seems his grandsons are on the way to start their own era..

I don´t know how I feel about the amount of human interference in the Mara concerning the lion population, it is starting to take it´s toll considering the amount of territory the Notch coalition and its offspring control, which is not necessarily a bad thing for now but it might narrow the gene pool and reduce the genetic variety amongst the lion population.

Agreed, but at this stage, the amount of harm that humans do to lions as a species is far too great. What little good we can do to increase their numbers and life expectancy is a welcome reprieve IMO.

Caesar is in a bad condition, apparently.

As usual, they have already began to moan and cry, "oh the vets need to do something", as if an old lion in a bad condition is something unnatural.

As I've said before, my opinion on this doesn't change.

People need to keep their hands and noses away, especially on cases like this where it's just a normal happening in the wild.
