actually, there has been no confirmed  sight on #6 since he was last seen with Dreadlocks early January. Meanwhile Deadlock has been seen alone on other occasions more recently.

They have been skinny and sometimes limping for more than a month now.

It definitly is a factor, but at this point theres definitly something along with that that contributes to their unpromising and worrying state.
also good to remember that they were 7 at the end of 2022 and beginning of 2023, and were fine except for the sixth male. Now that they seem to be wandering in 'smaller groups' it is a bit contradictory to not be able to feed themselves and this be the main factor for the bad condition of at least 4/5 individuals

Because it would be a big coincidence for the three sons of Sizanani turn out to be sick like their father because they fed on infected Buffalo at different occasions, so i believe it was when they were still together.

Possible, but also we dont know 100% that only Sizanani sons where infected.

We dont know what happened to other 2 members.

Also, Skorro Jr., who is Skorros son, also since last year is showcasing same symptoms (limping and skinny).

Infected lions might not show symptoms at the same time, depending on genetics, strenght and imune system.

Also, i dont belive in that "genetic diseases" stories.

All 5 Mantimahles made to 10 yrs of age and where top lions by looks and strenght, only Honest Face start to showcasing health problems at around 10 yrs of age, other 4 made it well pass that and 2 have been alive still last year (not anymore prob).

Other their sons are also in peak condition, looking massive and strong ( PCMs and Torchwwods).

Thanda Impi males also had sons in Mbiri pride, neither of those showed any symptoms.

I think in both Nkhulus and Nharu cases is that they eated something infected, maybe even when they where cubs/subs and its not "genetic".

Yes! It just doesn’t make sense all healthy and huge males! Now over half of them are sick. Well dreadlocks got beaten up by the southern avocas so that probably kicked started some TB he probably already had

@Tr1x24 Tumbela is limping because the PCM screwed his leg permanently, the bump shows it.

Without his full speed and being a lone nomad he can't properly hunt, still his conditions is always good, he was always skinny, he was never a robust lion, Nkhulus however, being of Mantimahle blood, were, even before reaching their prime they already looked like young PCM. Now Tumbela looks around as strong as the 2 healthy Nkhulus who are dominant and have no injury.

Also regarding your comments on genetics, you're only talking about their fathers. PCM and Mantimahle being healthy doesn't mean much, they are half brothers only, it could be that the Nkhulu mothers were sick.

Still, considering how DeLaporte is also sick, I think it's more likely that they ate something bad around the time DeLaporte recovered from the Avoca fight and rejoined them.

At that time we saw him at 100% and he recovered from a bad beating which would have been impossible if he was already sick.

Then there's Nkhulu #6, which IIRC was injured by a buffalo before all of that, reason he was always "sick".

We discuss this already, I have different opinion.

I thought this was because of his fights with PCM? But if you say i'll take it into account. He really hasn't been in the best of conditions for a while.

Yea thats fair. But in the case of the Nharus, i believe that Sizanani's genetics were weaker to diseases and perhaps his sons reacted more to symptoms after feeding on an infected carcass.
Sometimes it amazes me to think that Sizanani's fathers were Blondie and Dozie Nkuhuma. He didn't look like his impressive fathers at all and since then his genetics seem to me to be very bad in terms of immunity to diseases.

Nkhulu #6 has always looked thin and unhealthy even before being injured. But after the injury, it appears that he developed more difficulty walking, more than ever, probably not being able to keep it up with his brothers.

Wesley mentioned in the comments of the photos above that there were 3 males there yesterday (February 10), all in poor condition.

Wesley previously posted the picture of Mohawk and 4 of his sons, as mentioned by @Mapokser in Coalitions of KNP maybe both coalitions could be near each other?
