There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Was ubuso that bad!!
The last image of blonde I can recall was very skinny, no mass left, laying down, and roaring. Many people recognise him as Dark mane.
Then on 28th October we got the sad news
If ubuso was that fragile on his last sightings ( 15-19 December), then I am afraid it could be bad news

The image you posted on 12/15, page 125 in this thread if I'm not mistaken, shows him very thin with that black spot on his hip, and I believe he was alone at that time. That was one month ago today. If he had looked well nourished it would be much less an issue. But, given we are hearing lions can go for 2 weeks without food before serious health problems can arise, and his condition one month ago, it is certainly of concern.

Hey guys, this pic was sent to me by one of the people I reached out to about Ubuso, they're not positive it's him nor am I, so figured I'd post it here and see if it's actually him or not. Google drive link has a video attachment of the sighting as well. Appears to have been taken on the 15th of January.

Lions tend to isolate themselves if they're not well or dying.... Or he simply just cannot keep up because of the extent of his injuries.  He's obviously not in the best shape and having a hard time patrolling with his partners.  Let's see if this keeps up, which would be bad for him.

Two nwaswitshaka males were seen full belly.
Recently they eat a young giraffe.

Ubuso
It was posted 2 days ago. Although he looks quite skinny, he walks much better than last month, so it's encouraging to see. Go on, Ubuso!
