Yeah, anything over 20cm is exceptional. Although Sadam for having a 20cm pugmark was said to be one of the more modest males. Similar in length to Kankatta but a little more bulky. Still smaller than Banda and Konda by some margin.

have u got pics of saddam , may be this data is by charger. 20 cm paw width is very large and rare , i want to see that kanha male .

I don’t have any photos of him but you can see if pugmarks mentioned above.

Manas tiger (Assam side) pugmark that matched a no.7 shoe and a male’s pugmark from Agoratoli range (East Kaziranga) matched a no.9 shoe size.

no.7 shoe next to the pugmark. pugmark seems closer to size 5-5.5 at best maybe. I can’t really tell.

with a huge margin for error. these are probably two of the biggest pugmarks i’ve ever heard of.

I couldn’t help posting this one again, this pugmark from Rajaji is still the biggest pugmark ever photographed imo.

the pug-marks of the rajaji male can be roughly estimated or measured if we exactly know the width of these tyre prints .

Just to give you an idea of how large a Tiger would be with anything near 20cm pugmarks, this is Jai's pugmark. The paper folded is A4 size which is 8.3'' Wide

*This image is copyright of its original author

You can see here that Jai is no where near the 8'' mark which seems to coincide with the limited info we have on pugmarks to body weight. Jai being 220kg Empty shows a standard sized pugmark, the alleged male mentioned with 20cm pugmark weighing 288kg also shows the immense size a 20cm pugmark cat holds. Even more impressive is that his 20cm pugmark is from the actual paw itself and from mud or dirt which can exaggerate the size.

Comparing the alleged 288kg Tiger to Branders 272kg+ Est Tiger

288kg Male

*This image is copyright of its original author

Branders
DUNBAR BRANDERS TIGER:

Body Length:      220.98 cm (7ft 3 inch.)
Total Length:      302.26 cm (9ft 11 inch.)
Shoulderheight: 109.22 cm  (3ft 7 inch.)
Bodygirth:           149.86 cm (4ft 11 inch.)
Forearmgirth:     53.34 cm (21 inches)
Weight≈              272 kg ( 600 Pounds)

Everything fits very well, assuming this alleged male was measured in a straight line, he's officially the largest verifiable Tiger on record. But before crowning him, we need to know more information. Who provide these details and capture protocol? But just going off the measurements at hand, this male certainly fits nicely with what to expect from a 280kg+ Tiger.

Jai’s pugmarks next to a scale. (2015) I can’t even begin to imagine witnessing anything close to 20cm on that same scale.

Tranquilization sheet for Ustad (T-24). Eye witness can confirm Ustad was weighed on a scale. Length taken along the curves.
At canine length of 9 cm, I think we have a new record holder dethroning Madla.

thanks @Jerricson

any idea how old this male was?

Sup man. Sorry for the delayed response. I dont think his age was mentioned in any of the newspapers. Got in touch with a researcher who was involved in tracking of these tigers and he mentioned it was a subadult but he wasn't present on field when the tiger was captured and its health parameters taken. He shared me contact details of the vet. Will cross verify with the vet and revert back.

I little heavy for his body length, most likely gorged.
His measurements are fairly normal for a territory holding male. In regards to Madla’s canines, I’m not sure if his were measured along the curves or in a straight line?

The eye witness said gut fill was low enough that nothing could have been ascertained for how much was eaten prior to getting weighed.

You won’t be able know unless they’re cut open but with his dimensions it’s likely he had some content.
