I think that what had begun with the simple presentation of an infographic to give a rough idea of the size of Wagdoh has been unnecessarily complicated despite the explanations that in each case I have given

Why not? Of Wagdoh there are many photographs, not just one and it is evident that it is a relatively short animal. If a measure is against what I see, it seems totally logical to me to study it and give an opinion accordingly. I do not force anyone to believe anything, I only present my opinions

I have never said that all those records were fakes, I didn't even think about it, I consider them good and that's it, but if any of them catch my attention I review it with all the means at my disposal. By the way, there are methods to estimate the size of leopards in the wild using photographs

I had planned to comment on a method to analyze proportions based on photographs, but in view of the conflict generated, it is better to forget it.

Hello, new comer here although "Tiger" always fascinated me since elemantary.
Im just curious about a tiger in the linked video (appologize as im still find ways to post a picture) , the tiger in the video i think really resemblence that of an Javan Tiger (long/thin stripes and narrow/pointy nose). i used to search or browse for a various picture of tiger but this particular animal in the video really different from any other tiger picture.

by the way, im followed the channel from quite sometime.  The channel itself focus on documenting wildlife in Indonesia (mainly island of Java), he/she already hint the existence of Javan Tiger. Prevous video of his show the usual footprint but ocasionally show a cover-up attemp of a alleged javan tiger cub, young tiger cub, etc. I think before any scientific or DNA verification are conduct there's no telling the tiger belong to particular species. So what do you guys think?

apologize in advance for poor attempt in english

@GreenForest @Roflcopters

The first tiger (measurements listed) comes from the northern region. The source, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that the tiger was measured using a cloth tape which was pressed all along the contours. They do not have crane scales to weigh animals in field.

The second one comes from Central India (probably Maharashtra side) and confirmed to me by two senior researchers from WII.

Do the WII researchers not know where the 280kg Tiger was weighed?
Can you also elaborate their participation with that Tigers capture?

1st Tiger is huge, even over the curves.
Compared to Branders Record Male

Branders *600lb Est*
Between the Pegs
HBL 221 cm
Tail Length 81 cm
Shoulder Height 109 cm
Chest Girth 149 cm

The "Northern Region Male"
Over the Curves
HBL 230 cm
Tail Length 95cm
Shoulder Height 118 cm
Chest Girth 164 cm

Both are close in body length and height when converted from Pegs to Curves. The major difference is Chest Girth. The Northern male has an absolutely massive chest, all things considered he'd be a record male and most likely over 600lbs no doubt.

Over the past year and a half, me as well as others have communicated with many scientists and forest officials from India and nearby countries. A large database for weights of Bengal Tigers has been compiled. Here, I am going to list and make remarks on some of these large tigers that have been documented by scientists and researchers and I have permission to talk about freely. Some of these have been confirmed twice. I will not add direct names of sources to avoid spam.

Remarks: Madla exceeded a scale of 250 kg used by Dr. Raghunandan Chundawat. This included around 10 kg weighing bed and est. 20 - 30 kg food. Minimum empty was estimated to be no less than 220 - 230 kg+

2. T-3 aka "Betal"

Age: 6 - 6.5
Capture date: 11-04-1996

I managed to connect with a researcher who was involved in the monitoring of reintroduced tigers in a TR located in the northwestern landscape. Here's what he told about the body mass of tigers they've collared back in the day:

'Yes, we have weighed all the individual tigers after immobilizing them before putting a radio-collar on them. The weight of the adult male tigers were in between 230 Kg to 250 Kg while the females were in between 160 Kg to 185 Kg '
