Territory shifts happen not only through taking vacated arena, but also through takeovers with force. I am not saying there is takeover happening, but there is terrytorial dispute there as Skorro pride is chassing part of Birmingham pride through Birmingham pride territory.

In this case reserve boundaries kind of is territory boundry of Ross males. Of course lions do not care about reserve boundarys, but Ngala through past 3 years or so was totally dominated by Ross males with no other dominant males showing themselfs there.

I do not think those two cases are comparable. It would be if Avocas would chasse around part of Kambula pride.

They didnt chased Birmingham pride, they chased Birmingham subadults or breakeaway subadults , who are not under control of any territorial males anymore and they have no territory (they where mostly in the Mbiris and Skorro's territory in the past month btw).

Orpen males showed in Ngala from time to times in the past, even last year there was Junior with Mbiris there on WildEarth.. And Mbiris where there also on WildEarth, and thats only what we seen, there where plenty more what we didn't see..

This is just territorial pride chasing subadults, nothing else.. If Ross males where near by they wouldn't come that far east, so this has nothing to do with Ross males or Birmingham prides territory, because those subadults dont have territory..

The lone Dundee male was seen recently hunting wildebeest on the Xanatseni Private Camp airstrip. The team have only seen this individual once before in this area last December when he was with with two females from the Balule Pride! Darryn has been seeing regular tracks for a single male, so it could be this boy sticking around… Some more interesting news on the lion front, Darryn spotted one of the Vuyela males mating with a female about a week ago.
Thanks for the update Darryn!

New pride on Ngala during the livestream, guide said he counted 13 lions, quite a few sub-adult males. No pride males around.

That also is prob the pride which Skorros and Mbiris "chased" , Scar Mbiri was not that interested into them as Skorro lioness and people who witnessed it would prob said it if there was white lions, so i dont think that where Birmingham subadults.

So this Mayambula pride used to be ruled by Mbiri males (and the sub-adults are theirs) and they, the Mbiri males now dominate the Skorro pride only instead, that's how it is now? Thank you in advance.

They are in Kruger just north of Ngala and Orpens.. Idk if they are fully abandoned, but in recent months Mbiris are almost always with Skorros, mating.

If im not mistaken Mbiris where seen with them few months or so ago, so they prob drag them closer to Skorro's territory, which ofc Skorro females will not like.
