Beautiful blonde boy! This a perfect clip to show people that say male lions don’t hunt…this guy recognized an opportunity and charged it! Good for him and sorry for the zebra, at least it was a fast death.

Wait, the Killers? These are the ones that almost killed C-Boy. They were related? I don't believe so or are you speaking of a different coalition?

Yeah, wanted to say the same... They weren't related to C-Boy&Hildur, they were eternal rivals.

One of the most powerful male lions coalition of the Tanzania. Always extant coalition since they are born between 2012 and 2014 inside the Lamai area.

" This is one of the most powerful mara coalitions, originally made up of 5 males.
According to some experts, they originate from the Lamai area in Tanzania.

These three beautiful male lions are devouring a warthog. More exactly two of these are eating it while the third one holds firmly its throat waiting for it dies. But it didn't die ! We can heard the guard telling it is still alive. How could it be possible so much it was greedily devoured ? Finally when the warthog's body was cut in two parts, the third male lion could at last eat in its turn.

" 3 Brothers from "The Gardenia Pride" fighting for a lion share of the Male Warthog Kill, these Males own the Gardenia territory and the Pride in Northern Serengeti Kogatende around the Sand River plains, the Pride was named after the Gardenia gully which is one of their favourite hangout up there. They have about 7 females and about 5 teenagers, if i remember correctly, there may be more since I see them not that often! "

The 5 Inselberg Males, Manywele, Ruka, Olopoloosie, Nusu, and Slit Lip (rip) have been in the Mara Triangle since around 2018/19'ish. They have sons now that have left the prides and are in their own. They have video of the 5 young males in Serenghetti in 2017'ish.  They have sired many young offspring in many prides in the Mara Triangle and Border prides with Serenghetti. They should be around 10 years old by now, nobody knows their exact age. Olopoloosie disappeared a fee years ago for a while. He turned up and seemed he got caught by other males. He is the one who always looks worse for wear. Ruka almost lost his eye a few years ago, very big dark mane. Slit Lip got caught by other males and killed when they abandoned the Egyptian Goose Pride, my likely 6 Nyati males or Bila Shaka males killed him.  Manywele, the leader, has the most impressive mane of them all and gets all the ladies. Nusu, a loyal brother, sometimes is a loaner.

( This post was last modified: 06-07-2024, 10:04 AM by Mwk85 Edit Reason: Added additional information )

Edit: I may have made a complete blunder on this. As I was looking for more information on this I came across a comment left by a tour guide that is very familiar with the lions in this area and from what he commented the lions in video appear to be some of the Saba Bora males, not the Golden Boys. He said he saw 2/3 of them 3 days ago and they were far from each other. He's planning to go to the area once he's done in the Ngorongoro Crater and see what's the status of Rollo, Rasta, and Kaka. I'm going to remove the linked information until more clarity becomes available on the Golden Boys status. Apologies, everyone.

Both the lions in the clip, including the deceased one, look really thin.

True, I hadn't seen anything on them for some time so I'm guessing they fell on hard times at some point as they use to be rather bulky. There's speculation that they may have been offspring of Bob Jr and his bother, just to give an idea of the size they use to be.

There may not be a dead lion at all. I found new information that may potentially invalidate the information in my original post. Apologies.

False information/rumor seems to have been happening a lot lately, with the unknown blond maned male in western sector which turned out to be entirely fake, etc... What the community needs to start doing is tracing back to whom the original information came from. If it is a normally trusted source, who made a mistake, fine, those things happen. But if it appears to be someone who is trying to sew discord into the community, then to identify those people would be helpful.

Great to know, thank you, for the update! So, all of the Saba Bora boys are still alive then?
