MALAMALA TODAY: October 2nd-5th. Lions: Over the last 4 days we enjoyed 11 lion sightings including 4 coalitions: The Manyelethi male with the scarred nose has been mating with a lioness from the Kambula pride in the stretch of the Sand River between our camps. He later joined up with his darker maned brother midway along the Matshipiri River.
The 3 Marthly/Tsalala males: The 3 nomadic males from the Marthly pride made surprise return to the area where they grew up-we viewed them on each of the last 3 days within 2kms of Main Camp.
The Avoca males: were seen at Hyena Waterhole.
3 of the Gowrie males: were at Campbell Koppies.
5 of the Kambula lionesses: killed a kudu north of Emsagwen Waterhole- they spent a couple days there before moving to Bicycle Crossing.

One of them is killed by Mantimahles.. Don't know about the other
As much aggression as the majingalanes show to mini-hipscar, they will get tired of this lot hanging around too long pretty quick considering there are 9 of them. Lol.

May be one of the Younger Othawa cubs went missing recently
"17 is the number that the guides have been using lately. Add the 2 Majingilanes that have been with the group and we've counted up to 19!"
