Yeah apparently he was limping on both a front leg and a back leg.

Maybe he got reinjured while hunting?  Anything could have aggravated it.  We never saw any conflicts, so I'm not speculating.  The fact that he's that badly limping, could mean that his brother did not want to wait on him to catch up.  He could sense the weakness of his partner now.  Since lions cannot help each other physically, it makes sense if he often leaves his brother in the end, sadly.  However, I'm assuming the stronger brother is uninjured or alive.   This limping BDM might rely heavily on him if he continues to deteriorate, so let's hope the other one is still okay!

The stress is showing in this Black dam mald. He lost a lot of his mane in the past few months. With all other healthy males around, he is being forced to move back and forth through the reserve.

@BA0701 Smaller PCM did chase both Tumbela and NK at the same time once when they were with the Ximhungwe.

Of course back then they had no bond and now they're forming a coalition, but I still don't think they are ready to confront even a single PCM.

But give it a few more months and if one of the PCM try to chase them alone, it may end badly for him.

Since the PCM took over the Ximhungwe pride they started to split from time to time when before we rarely see them apart. Now that they have all their previous prides + possibly Tsalala and Nkuhumas, they'll probably split more and more and it'll be dangerous for them.

He still looks great. I wonder if he ever looks for, or thinks about his old sparring partner, S8.

Seeing the smaller-maned BDM walk, he doesn't look good. It seems he has mange in one of his front limbs, and the muscles of one of his hindlimbs seems to be atrophied ( guide talks about it ), he limps from one front limb ( IIRC the one with the mange ) and from the weird looking back limb.

I've no idea what caused him this as he doesn't seem to be injured, unless it was a recent hunting injury or the fights he had with Kambulas left permanent injuries, but now I don't even remember who got badly beaten in their hindlimbs, if it was this BDM or his brother, not only that but I believe we saw them at 100% after the clashes with Kambulas.

So perhaps his stress levels made him develop the Nkhulu/Tumbelas disease? I hope not, if he's lucky he just had a bad hunting recently and nothing is permanent.

Saw this on a post in Tumbela section, is this possibly Tsalala or a Nsefu lioness?

Pretty sure I already seen this video either on twitter or YT, was captioned as Tsalala lioness. Don’t think it was ever fully confirmed tho.

The Southern Avoca male is looking in better shape than what he had been a few months ago. He is on his old stomping grounds, Kirkmans Kamp

Avoca looks surprisingly good, even got some mane back.

Bigger PCM back in the north again worries me, west is basically free for NK/Tumbela.

Good that the BDM are back together, I wonder who gave the bigger-maned one those facial injuries.

NK/Tumbela will not do anything in the West after all they went with PCMs over the years, unless PCMs completley abandon that area in future.

PCMs are still very well territorial in the west, one of them is even there, NK/Tumbela know that.
