Talamati boys. Despite the KNP location tag I believe they’re around Londolozi.

Idek if he’s with anyone atm, the post I sent in Talamati Pride thread mentioned 4 Talamati lionesses being seen with 3 buffalo kills and no mention of Nkuhuma Male.

Should be Kambulas if they’re still around Londolozi.

Yeah I thought either Kambulas or Mhangenis, as they sometimes wander into Londolozi as well. Not very good at IDing the lionesses though.

Theres dozens of diseases out there causes by bacteria, parasites, viruses etc, for which is very little known.

TB is most famous one, so when lion is seen sick, everyone just says its TB.

Lions can also be sick from natural diseases, like cancer, heart, liver, blood diseases etc.

Even if lion is positive on TB, it doesnt have to be the main reason for his demise.

I think they always say TB as well, because they have said repeatedly that most of the lions in and around Sabi Sand have it.  They just don't all die from it.  I have thought snake bite from the beginning as someone had noted a weird mark on his left rear leg just above the paw.  But again... We are looking at pictures.  These guides that do this every single day for a living and are there in person are saying what they believe.  I'd go with their thoughts over anybody else analyzing from behind a screen.

I agree with you my friend, @T_Ferguson. I know S8 could've died from a number of reasons, but I rather believe what the guides have said according to the findings by the vets until the autopsy/necropsy is performed and show otherwise.
At least the vets had the opportunity to check S8.

Singita update

The journey of the Mhangene Pride has been a rollercoaster, marked by occasional challenges, but the exhilarating highs far outweigh the tough moments. There were days when the lionesses appeared gaunt and weary, but their determination shone as they successfully hunted under the cover of a moonless, gusty night. A heart-warming highlight was the long-awaited reunion of two cubs, absent from sight for nearly a week, with their life supporting pride.

Down in the southern reaches, nomadic male lions hailing from the Talamati Pride have graced us with their majestic presence. What truly intrigues is the newfound alliance formed as the Nkuhuma male joined forces with these wandering males, marking the third instance of such cooperation with unrelated pride members.

In the northern wilderness, the breakaway Nkuhuma Pride, comprising a lioness and her young male and female offspring, has demonstrated resilience. They've been spotted gallantly prowling the landscape around Boulders Lodge, a captivating sight during our safaris.

For those who have wondered or asked:

Official confirmation of sabi sabi about sex of the 2 southern/selati cubs, both are females like her first litter in 2020

Means it was the solo male that was killed.

How amazing as we had 8 members of the Nkuhuma pride, accompanied by one of the Black Dam males, just outside the lodge for the majority of the day.

They went to have a drink at our watering hole just now and was slowly heading in an easternly direction.

Two cubs/subs alone on Djuma, near Buffelshoek, on Wild Earth. Impossible for Cedric to identify but could be two Talamati Breakaway subs.

Just wanted to add a bit of context, this was a week ago, just in case anyone mistaken this post for the BDMs being back with the Nkuhuma Pride.
