When Gingerella went into Kruger with Junior and their younger brother, I was concerned that she might not ever see this day, so this is really great to see!

A guest visited Simbambili and Ulusaba last week and recorded some footage which they've uploaded in the last day on the channel, here's one of the vids - Tumbela with the Ximhungwes on the 10th of September

So, the cubs had to have been very close, no way they would leave them far away, and there is no reaction by either of the two females. This is so crazy, the entire dynamics around that pride. I know elder Ximungwe allowed Limper to be around her cub, but did she also allow Skorro Jr to be as well?

Yeah it's very interesting, as if they recognise him as the father.

Im not sure if we ever had limper close to her daughter, I think she was either always hiding or trailing behind them

I believe you're right, I think it was commented that she was nearby when they were climbing that tree. That recent video of the PCMs with them, that was also filmed after the cubs were born, right, or was it filmed before she gave birth? The whole thing is just odd. When Skorro Jr was still with the Othawas, he spent a lot of time with the elder Ximungwe, I just didn't know if her daughter was near him or again in the bush.

He is playing a very dangerous game, but he has been for over a year, and it didn't matter who the other males were, Nhenha and Nkuhuma, or the PCMs, he gets into fights with them, ends up leaving, only to return at the first opportunity. As the old saying goes, nothing can stand in the way of true love, I suppose. Whatever it is, he clearly finds the risk worth the reward.

Your talking about the Mengheni 12. Big Boy was the hope that 1  would survive and he teamed up with the NK male but was found dead, supposedly from snake bite or something. I think 1 or 2 lionesses survived from the 12, something like that. Big Boy was NK 1st friend.

Watched a video of that on YT but this one I watched was a documentary on TV, think it was called Game of Lions or something like that.

Interesting, much further North than normal, maybe linking up with BDMs. Surprised she’s had no run-ins with the young Kambulas, young Talamatis or Nkuhuma Pride with Mohawk.

I don't believe I've ever heard of a pride getting two different groups of males, or in this case one group and one solo male, to accept their cubs, not at the same time. I'm with you, I really hope it works out. TBH, she looked more relaxed in the company of Skorro Jr, she looks really tense in this image, ears back, eyes pinpoint focused on him.

Don't recall who exactly posted it but I read a report not long ago stating that Gingerella was seen mating with both PC males. If memory serves correct, it was said that she more or less sought out the other brother (one not named/one not called Mak...?)

If so, then these girls, as @Tonpa mentioned, are playing an incredibly smart game, doing everything they can to make sure their cubs, and the pride, survive and are successful. This may be another example of a remarkable level of forethought, the second I have seen. These creatures never cease to amaze.

This is normal behavior though for lionesses to mate with every male in the area to insure the safety of the cubs. This is just the perfect situation to show the effectiveness of this behavior, Skorro is unwilling to leave the area for whatever reason so it's a given that he will interact with the cubs at some point as well, not just the PCMs. I don't think this is anything extra ordinary in terms of behavior.
