Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. If he has injuries only on his head, then its more logical that he fought 1 male rather then 2.

He was lately not seen with Talamatis.

Yes, if it was lions it would seem likely it was one. Plus, we know RRM's tactics of grabbing the head/face, so very much a possibility. Not to throw a wrench in the works, but could this be from a horn, from what looks to be a wildebeest that he is feeding on?

Doubt it tbh, the wound is too shallow and should be further stretched out. Horns face upwards, so with direct impact the wound should get deeper as it progresses up the head until the impact stopped and the horns were removed.

I think my initial impressions were incorrect, those ribs look small, and the black stuff, which I took to be hide/hair, appears to be dirt or dried blood. If this was a wildebeest, then it was a very young/small one. My guess now is that is possibly an impala, young buffalo, or warthog, and if it is an impala or young buffalo then it is very doubtful/highly it unlikely caused that injury.

@Duco Ndona Othawas killed Ximhungwes because of the Majingilane takeover. Ximhungwes and Othawas lived "in peace" throughout the Mapogo and Selati reign.

But once Majingis took over they killed the Othawa cubs but not all of Ximhungwe cubs, meaning Ximhungwe ended up in trouble, never being properly taken by Majingilanes.

There were clashes back then as wel and there will be takeovers in the future.

With two events in which one pride killed all the adults of the other in just the span of a few years involving the same lions.
I doubt the two will live peacefully with each other from this point on.

There's a video of Red Road a bit further from the camera but he might have fresh scars to his face.

I wonder if S8 really fought him.

Red Road is a really big male, born into the Birmingham Pride. He controls the Nharu Pride, has many cubs with them, and has had a couple of scuffles with the Tintswalo Males as well, just recently holding down Mandevu by his face for an extended period of time.

Preciate it, made it to page 60 on the Lions of Manyeleti but things come up and haven’t really caught up with it since then. Heard about the fight with Mandevu, I genuinely think he’s only alive cos RRM allowed him to be, that grip that he had would have allowed him to cause serious damage. Didn’t follow them lions until hearing about the story of Ncila and since then I’ve always checked in, following his journey.

RR must be one of the most skilled warriors out there. He gave a lot of trouble to 2 young Tintswalos, easily dominated prime Mandevu, and now seemingly beat S8 in a big fight, S8, a male everybody thinks of as very strong.

@KM600 RR was weighed at 200-210kg with an empty stomach.
