There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Lions of Sabi Sands

That area, or Londolozi on itself is somewhat of a nolions area between the established prides and coalitions. So it often is where nomadic lions like the Tsalala lioness settle for a while as it is safer than trying to survive in the core of another lions territory.

I guess this guy got a bit overconfident and has yet to realize the true nature of his stake.

That female pheromone is intoxicating for any young bachelor cat. It is so overpowering that it makes them do/make not smart decisions. It affects us males human too but our brain is a little more advanced than them. I can understand why he's risking it

Video that was posted a little earlier on PaintedDog, showed S8, in what looks to be the exact same spot only during the day, and he was asleep the entire time, they even moved the truck closer and he didn't so much as open his eyes.

Most people would think, including myself back in the day, that there is no way a wild lion would be in one spot for so long. But, in fact, it was that poaching dentist and his guide having moved the collar around in the bush so often that lead the researchers to realize something was off with Cecil. The researchers said something isn't right, he is moving around way too much.

Dawn crossing.

One of the reasons why I get up early!
The Scorro Male crosses the Sand River responding to the Tsalala Female calling in the northern parts of our reserve.
