In relation to our previous post about the Torchwood pride spending more time with the Kruger Males, we have great news as new cubs were seen with the pride while they were feeding on a Giraffe kill.

Three little cubs at about three months old, we welcome the next generation of the Torchwood pride.

Torchwood Male was recently seen together with other members of the Torchwood pride, he's doing good and looking great! It was again another great sighting for our guests and they really loved seeing this young male...incredible!

The Othawa pride were seen recently again in the Western sector of Sabi Sands.
The older Othawa male "Junior" is really looking extremely well and with a very developed mane. the other three sub-adults plus Sassy (their mother) are on fantastic shape too
Still without sighting of the Matimba male HB.

Not to mention, she is so close to becoming of age, and able to breed. Not only will that aid in her survival, but also help her mother to restore the pride. I hope they are able to restore the pride to it's former size and strength. If so, it is all due to the efforts of this one lioness and what a success story that will be. What a great video, thanks @Tr1x24 !!

Well, she still got a lot to go before she will be in estrus, usually thats around 3.5 - 4 yrs of age.. But yea, hope they can rebuild the pride, her mother is also still fairly young, just over 7 yrs old.. So there is time for them, they just need a bit of luck..

You are correct my friend. In trying to find the article I read that said they are able to come into estrus at 18 months, I actually came across multiple articles that reiterated your comment. I was clearly mistaken with my comment. Well, then that is a bit more concerning, because she has a long way to go, and they have been under tremendous pressure from all sides.

**EDIT**
This is the article I had read, that states they can come into estrus as early as 2 years. Only posting it as reference to my previous comment, however, I believe your earlier comment @Tr1x24 , due to the sheer number of articles I came across which stated as much, and simply because it makes more sense. 18 months seems really young.,

Does anyone know the origin of these males? Are these the males also called the “Kruger” lions sometimes?

Yeah.
I read that some guys were saying that are sons of the Robson males.
However, I don't know at all. There not exist any proofs
